good luck in denver champ. i hope you are happy now that you are finally with a first-class organization. and i am counting down the days until the HOF game when i can see you get burned by coles and mccants just like so many receivers burned you in your time here.

Another retired jersey in my jersey collection...along side the Brad Johnson jersey.

I didn't root for Brad when he left, and I sure won't root for Champ when he leaves.

Champ who?

Champ thanks. I know things didn't work out the way we wanted them too, but I can understand how all those coaching changes would get to a guy. I wish you all the best, and hope that your memory of the Redskins isn't too tarnished. Good luck playing two ways and to your future success, but I for one shall no longer shower you with accolades. All right the bar's closing, you don't have to go home, but you need to get the @#$% out of here!

Dear Champ,
good luck in denver. You were a pro. You fooled Shanny and got Ray Lewis type money. Maybe now you can be a gamebreaking playmaker that you were not here for a variety of reasons. Anyhow we couldn't be happier to get Portis and I hope it makes you feel great that you got traded for a second yr pro. The 2nd rounder was a must. Ouch. You got your money I guess that's all that matters.
PS. Pound Sand.

Goodnight, sweetheart
Well,it's time to go
Goodnight, sweetheart
Well, it's time to go
I hate to leave you, but I really must say
Goodnight, sweetheart, goodnight

Well it's three o'clock in the mornin'
Baby, I just can't do right
Well, I hate to leave you, baby
I don't mean maybe
Because I love you so

[Refrain]

Mother, and, oh, your father
Won't like it if we stay out too late
Well, I hate to leave you, baby
Don't mean maybe
You know I hate to go

[Refrain]

[ sing to fade ]
Goodnight, sweetheart
Well, it's time to go
Goodnight, sweetheart
Well, it's time to go
I hate to leave you, but I really must say
Goodnight, sweetheart, goodnight

Champ, I want to explain my anger towards you right now. We drafted you as a young lad. You were mentored by the best CB in history, you tarnish DG's memory by pulling this ****. You should be ****** ashamed of yourself. DG passed the torch to you, and you just get up and leave. You were my favorite player, I bought your throwback jersey when it could have been someone else, good riddince you punk *** bitch, have fun being in the snow and away from Georgia, get your *** out...sorry for the profanity, he makes me mad..... PS CHAMP, tell melo i said whats up

Dear Forum,
I am sorry for my use of profanity in the last thread, I know it was uncalled for, I let my emotions get the best of me... chump bailey makes me so mad, I am sorry if i offended anyone in the skins nation, except champ bailey

Champ you learned the lessons of DC spin doctoring quite well. "If you say it long enough then it must be true" despite facts to the contrary. Given the moves "lesser receivers" put on you last year, you are kidding yourself if you think you're one of the best. Being first class is more than athleticism. You had plenty of opportunity to learn that from the best CB in the game but you blew it. Good luck in Denver. We are a better TEAM with you gone.

If I played for 6 D-coord. in 6 years I might want out as well. However, things have now changed for the better. Why would you want to leave just when things get better? Anyhow, Champ was one of my fav. players so farewell, now it's time to move on

Champ I braged about you when you came out. I said all along you were the best CB in the leage. You were one of my favorit current Redskins. But you cryed about 5 differint D-coachs in 5 years. I will give you that. But I will also say you had a chance to play for a legendary Coach in Coach Gibbs. What are you thinking Denver might think they have some great organization. But I am sorry to say they do not have the history Washington has. If I had it my way you would be back. But I don't. but on the other hand if a player is ganna be a crybaby he can walk! One player does not make a Super Bowl champion. A TEAM does.

P.S. I am no longer a fan of C. Bailey. Sorry your not a try Redskins player.

Good bye very good corner with potential shutdown ability and my former favorite Skin.

Hello young beast RB with potential league MVP status and my new favorite Skin.

Champ, I think we got the better deal. And you also got a better deal. So I guess it works out for everyone. No need to take any more shots at the Skins though, just keep your mouth shut and prove it on the field, because you have plenty left to prove.

PS. If you decide you want to play offense in the HOF game, just watch yourself. Remember what Lavar thinks about defensive players playing offense. Its disrespectful.

Start with this: A great cornerback is harder to find than a great running back. The Broncos, for example, find great runners every time one of their scouts leaves the house. Terrell Davis, who is perhaps a Hall of Famer, has hardly been missed because Olandis Gary rushed for 1,159 yards in only 12 games in 1999, because somebody named Mike Anderson (a sixth-round pick) rushed for 1,487 yards in 2000, and because Portis was drafted in the second round out of Miami and beat both of them out of a job in 2002.

Trading two starters (Bailey and the pick) for one could be risky, too, unless Portis turns out to be the best back in the league, which is possible. Already, he's probably one of the five best backs in the league. I'd put Priest Holmes, Jamal Lewis and LaDanian Tomlinson ahead of Portis, but probably not anybody else

NUZZIN' MORE TO SAY - EXCEPT: BAD DEAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first of all i just want to say that more than anything im really dissapointed in champ bailey...being a younger redskins fan he was one of the first players who i followed from the time he made a name for himself at UGA to the present. I loved champ, he was my favorite redskin, and when darrell green passed the torch onto him i thought he would be a redskin for life. leaving like this and taking shots at the org on the way out just shows me how wrong i was about him. i guess the only thing you can go on is bleed for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back. HAIL TO 'EM!!! AND WELCOME TO THE CAPITOL OF THE FREE WORLD CLINTON PORTIS!
