View Full Version : Is Arrington becoming a "problem"?

The guy has talent, no doubt. He seems to want to be a winner most of the time. But I am getting concerned about his belly-aching about getting "robbed" of $6M. This could carry on into being a huge distraction. This may be Bailey II..."show me more money."

What I thought he would do (as a "leader" on this team), is to embrace the return of Gibbs. Get psyched about the acquisitions. Start talking about next season and how he looks forward to leading the new defense. Maybe I missed it, but I haven't really seen that. I saw him sport an attitude during two interviews he has done since Gibbs returned. I thought he was a good kid coming out of Penn State, but he seems more and more like a spoiled brat.

He moaned that he is sick of losing and changing coaches. Well now the team is heading in the right direction and this coaching staff will stay together for a while. Now he is complaining about money.

I want this team to win so badly, I don't want any one individual screwing things up. Maybe we should trade him if he feels the team has cheated him. Lets bring in people who want to win here and now.

I think he figured out that his agent messed up... Hes been around Redskin Park and has quieted down big time... I think hes ready to be a leader and it will all pan out...

I hope so. As I understand it, the squabbling is about a 2006 roster bonus for $6.5M. The agent thought it was to be guaranteed, and the team thought it was to be discretionary.

I'm sure they'll work it out. Just make it guaranteed and spread it out into 2007 & 2008.

I think the squab is where it should have been in the first place...between LA and his "agent".

Guys, I hope things work out with Arrington. The more I read about Marcus Washington, the more exited I get about the LB corps again this season. I didn't know much about Marcus Washington until I read about him this week. But, he looks to be an upgrade on Armstead. I liked Jesse, I hope he does well for Carolina.

Arrington loves the Redskins, he wants to play out his carreer as one. This is a minor hiccup between LaVar and his agent. No worries.

If Gibbs takes this team to the playoffs this year, you wont hear a peep out of Arrington. He just want to win and get a superbowl.

How many times does this guy have to get "psyched" about next season????

Give him a break, he has the right to say whatever he wants. He will leave his heart on the field, he has proven that.

Lavar is a problem in the fact that he needs discipline, he needs stability,a nd now he will have that. Arrington has taken the reign as the most popular Redskin now, he will hold that mantle and he will be fine. Moving him to the weak side is a starting point. Gregg Williams and his disciplined, attacking system will be good for Lavar.

I think Williams will understand the need to make lavar a playmaker...He needs to get build a bridge and get over it...If you look at the character of Ray Lewis...he rarely lets off the field stuff control him...it's his defense....with lavar....I can't say that it's his defense until he puts them on his shoulder and does some damage....that's what ray does....and he rarely fusses about what's going on or who's with him on defense...he just goes out and motivates everyone on the team...

Lavar take notes...doesn't matter who's calling the D..you just play....make tackles...and stop offenses then we can talk.....
