From WorldsOfWrestling.com (http://host.amsnac5.com/~wow/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=bd_wwe;action=display;num=1078938833 ;start=8#8)

We have been told that yesterday at the SmackDown! tapings, Lesnar stood up in front of the entire room at the pre-show meeting and announced he was leaving WWE to persue a career in the National Football League.

Lesnar'c current WWE deal is for seven years. He met with Vince McMahon last Tuesday at the SmackDown! tapings and discussed his concern for his upcoming storyline with The Undertaker where was was supposed to put the character over. Lesnar didn't understand that if he was to be a main event player for the next several years, why was he going to be 'fed' to 'Taker.

He was also upset about going on the recent tour of South Africa where he had to wrestle Hardcore Holly. He felt that he should have been put in a much higher profile match.

From what our sources have told us, Lesnar informed everyone at the meeting that he was miserable in the business. He said that it was not any reflection on the business per se, but he just couldn't find happiness in the industry any more.

Lesnar went on to publicly thank Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Gerry Brisco "for finding me in college," and thanked Big Show and Paul Heyman for all their help with his career. He told the crew he wouldn't be back and he was said to be very emotional and wished everyone well.

We have been told there was a meeting today to decide what they will do with the match at WMXX between Lesnar and Goldberg. It will be both men's last match, which will make it very tricky to book. It was previously thought that Lesnar would go over Goldberg, but with both men now leaving, the WWE may change their plans for the match.

Sable (Brock's current real life girlfriend), as we reported earlier, was said to be upset backstage but not just because of Brock's decision to leave WWE. She was involved in a backstage scuffle with Torrie Wilson at the tapings which you can read by clicking the headline link on the main page of this website.

The joke in the locker-room with Sable was that she would only appear on the NFL team that Brock applies for as a cheerleader. Just to note, several people have questioned our report of Sable and Brock dating in real life. Sable and Marc Mero split over a year ago and she and Brock have been together for nearly a year now.

There are also several people backstage who are shocked that Brock Lesnar believes he could play for any NFL team.

The general feeling was that Vince McMahon wouldn't be stupid enough to pull a backstage joke like this as it accomplishes nothing. Lesnar has been very down lately backstage and the feeling among just about everyone is WMXX is his last date unless he changes his mind.

We have also talked to friends of Lesnar outside of the wrestling business and they have told us that the current WWE situation is consistent with his current plans. He had talked about the NFL being one possibly but admitted that it was a long shot since he has never played in college.

this is wild never thought I would see this. He would be one beast at DE.

He will need alot of training and may never play in the NFL at all. Hopefully this is not some angle Vince and he worked up to screw with the intrernet media as Vince can not stand the internet media anyway.

The guy has zero football talent, other than being a big guy. He would enjoy the same success as Michael Jordan did in baseball, save that the NFL doesn't have a minor league system, unless you include Europe and Arena.

Steroid use is rampant in professional wrestling, so who knows how big this guy will be when he gets drug tested. That said, I have no idea what position he would play. Even if he is clean, it sounds like wishful thinking.

Did he play in college? It would be very hard for him to compete at a reasonable level in the NFL without prior experience.

No, but he was in Wrestling, so he would be a helluva lineman.

I wonder how strong he will be after the roids flush out of his system.

He was that big while wrestling in college. And they had strict drug policies.

It was being reported on SportsTalk today that the Redskins and Bucs approached him a few years ago about giving football a shot.

You think we'll give him a shot at least on the Practice squad for a view years?

He would, footwork is key in wrestling. Lots of pro-NFL players, like Ray Lewis and I beleive LaVar Arrington, wrestled in High School or College.

He'd be an interesting prospect no doubt, but that's about all for now.

This guy is a pure athlete and I believe could make the jump. He would be a good DE or DT, he is not one of the guys I see doing roids but it is possible. Hardcore Holly is another story as far as roids. HE is fast agile and strong as an ox. He would know about hte drug testing so I doubt he would try to play in the NFL if he was on the juice. I could see a guard hitting him late and Brock giving him a F5. :D

There are a lot of big strong guys at the World powerlifting championships, I don't think they would make good football players.

Like we don't need another circus act around the Redskins Park for the media to ridicule? No, thanks. Let him catch on with the Bucs.

who does this idiot think he is? He thinks he can just walk into the NFL and make the team? I've never payed much attention to "pro" wrestling because its hard for me to watch something I know is fixed. like its been said before, this guy is probably on some supplements that aren't legal in the NFL and unless he has been planing on making an entrance to the league, it will take a while for the 'roids to leave his system. about him getting smaller, I don't think it will be too much of a difference because you've already got the muscle and once the stimulation of the supplement is out of his system he just needs to maintain the muscle. as far as lifting that should only drop something like say his bench about 20 pounds because he will still have the muscle.
