I don't see how this could even be close. Houston was head and shoulders above the rest on that list. Im a little disappointed that Alvin Walton was left off that list.....

I AGREE ON THE ALVIN WALTON TIP......HE WAS MY FAVORITE SAFETY....AND I GUARANTEE HE WAS AT LEAST THE HARDEST HITTIN SAFETY EVER.......

You know what I just realized......Both Safties from the Pearl Harbor Crew are listed but not Walton. They were called the Pearl Harbor Crew because they got bombed on so much.......whoever voted for murphy should be ashamed of themselves.

The youngin's on the board are not going to know who Ken Houston is, but us old farts sure know who "The Man" is.
It can't be no other the Houston.

Kenny vote! But how could it be otherwise? While he played along time ago, it's funny I can only remember 1! td he gave up! (I'm sure that's wrong!) but the man was awesome! Was a kid at the time but at that time had the opinion that Kenny was so good the other teams didn't even challenge him!!! Note, if this kid Taylor everybody is raving about is anywhere close to being "Kenny, the second coming" GRAB HIM!!! #27 was the best!!

I'm sure Houston was awesome, but he's a little before my time. I voted for Edwards. Rypien was the sentimental MVP of SB 26, but if you go back & watch that game, Edwards dominated & should have been MVP (IMO). Just goes to show you that a Safety can be a difference-maker (ie: S Taylor)

Where the heck is my Matt Bowen :D (oh stop it, you knew I'd say that)
I'm going with Kenny Houston, because I am an old fart and I saw him play.
Listen the man went to 12 straight Pro Bowls! 12
(I think Mike Bass was considered a corner.)

Matt Bowen and Matt Stevens...maybe we need a worst ever poll. I might have to cast my worst ever vote for Stanley 'The Sheriff' Richard.

Kenny H without a thought about the others. You had to see him play. ...................... Now IF STaylor were only half that good there would be doubt I'd draft him - but that wishing for too much!

Oops, my bad. He's not that bad. He just got poster-ized one too many times...Keyshawn (of all people) getting deep on him and Deuce McAllister spinning him around come to mind.

This has got to go Houston's way. Can we include Sean Taylor on this list yet?

Ken Houston wasn't just the best Redskins safety of all time, he was the best in the NFL all time. At least until Ronnie Lott came along.

I was just messing with you :badgirl:, the guys around here know I was a big fan of Bowen this year.
Our safety position should improve dramatically under a good Def coach.

I'm hoping it will be Sean Taylor someday but as of right now Kenny Houston takes my vote by a landslide.
