Voted the only option that did not include James Thrash.

None of the above...Coles, Gardner, and I'll say Taylor Jacobs to help stretch the field. McCants will get plenty of time, but Jacobs is no slouch and was projected as a first-rounder last year -- he's a shade over 6'0 and ran a sub 4.4 40. Since all we are hearing about right now is individual workouts, here is his from last year - very impressive: [from ProFootballWeekly -- http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW...Days040103.htm ] --
Florida’s Taylor Jacobs attacked his pro day March 19 with the same zest. He caught the attention of a huge gathering of scouts and front-office men with a 4.37 40 and 6.8-second three-cone time. He looked even better catching passes afterward, when a pass thrown his way never touched the grass.

Not to be contraversial but I'd say Coles, McCants and Jacobs. Gardner will likely be traded and Thrash will split time with DMAC and Taylor, while also returning kicks.

Yeah, based on the latest Post Article, I have to change my answer and agree with badpigs -- sounds like DMac is getting promoted to the number 2 and Rod will be packing his bags. I hope Thrash is just a vet backup for DMac and Taylor. I thought Rod was okay, but apparently they think otherwise. Hopefully, if they deal Rod they can turn the pick into a D-Lineman -- I would think they should be able to get a 2nd rounder for the guy...Yes? No?

I would agree we might could get a second from San Diego, They need receivers badly. Rod right now to us is like a third nipple, he's the guy that should be the man but just isn't. We could use the second on line right now and that would be a heck-of-a-trade. We might also look for a conditional 3rd that could become a 1 in 05.

Yeah, he'd make sense in SD since 1) Eli probably should have a possession receiver who can help bail him out, 2) They need a replacement for Boston, 3) Marty drafted Rod.

3) Marty drafted Rod.
I'd forgotten about that. Seems logical, what with Boston and Johnson(Keshawn) teaming up with old coaches. I'd still say they'd be better off trying Brees with a couple of star recievers, but once again I'm biased. Check out Chargers #1 in All NFL forum,

#4.
The acquisition of Thrash and the good reports from minicamp on Jacobs, plus the contract info DMC lead me to believe that Gardner will be shopped.

Coles obviously, highly likely for McCants with that new contract of his, likely as well for Jacobs to stick around after the nice things that Gibbs has been sayingabout him, and of course Thrash. With this gruop alone we are stocked. Gardner, you were Marty's boy, not Joe's. Good luck to you in the future.

Have to agree, Coles, McCants, with a Jacobs/Thrash mix. If we can get a second round pick for Gardner, it will be a good deal!

1. Coles
2. DMac
3. Taylor
4. Thrash
5. Cloman
Trade Gardner for 3rd rounder would be nice... San Diego trading top 2nd round pick is not an option... No way theyd trade the 33rd pick in the draft for a #2 reciever...

Coles
McCants
Jacob
Thrash [back-up #3] PLUS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Winslow II - TE - with speed of WR - He and Coles will truley open up the field
I give the 'Skins a 40% chance of drafting him [Winslow] - he, Portis, the WR corps, better plocking and Brunell/Ramsey will take this offense to the elite of the league.....
[leaving poor G. Williams to try his sorcery on a 'limited gene pool' of defensive talent].
Hail!

Coles #1, obviously. I can see the team considering Jacobs and McCants both #2 and using them in particular situations. Gardener, being a FA next year, I think will be traded for whatever we can get, within reason.
Have to say a good word for Thrash. Good character guy who probably fits well Gibbs' definition of a Redskin. Will be a solid #3 or 4 WR and , of course, likely a key contributor on special teams.
