$1,000,000.00 bet
i honestly dont think its fair to evaluate the QBs based on their performance in the 1st 2 games. our O-line didnt really do crap and everyone really was learning. by the same token, i dont give burnell that much credit for playing moderately well against what is likely going to be the worst team in football this year. ramsey sucked it up against a totally awesome team that went to the superbowl last year, and one which has a good chance of going again this year.
however, i will say this. putting all the excuses aside, we won both games in which burnell started. hes a veteran, he'll only be around a couple years, he took gibbs to the ER the night they met, ramsey has all but bent over and said he'll learn alot under burnell. $1,000,000.00 says he will start game 1.
this is a completely useless bet, since i dont have 1/100th of that money, but if i did, i would put it all on burnell

i suck at poker. played with 2 other people one night, and teh loser had to take shots. we had to change it so that if you didnt win, you took a shot cause i was the only one drinking. and yeah, brunell will get the job.

This bet is sort of like saying, "I will bet you 1 million dollars that Alaska gets at least one inch of snow in the next 12 months."
Will Brunell start? Does a bear sh*t in the woods?
And, BigSef, I agree that it's tough to judge based on those 1st 2 games. Everything was vanilla, and no one seemed to be on the right page offensively. Now that the offense seems to be coming together, I would really focus on this Rams game. I think it's time for Patrick to either REALLY step it up, or be prepared to learn behind Brunell.

The Dolphins might suck, but their defense is still pretty damn good. I liked the way Brunell looked against the Dolphins defense. Although I am a fan of Pat Ramsey, he could learn a lot from both Brunell and Gibbs if he sits down a year.
