He'll probably wind up being medically released, with NFL standard compensation (his contract can then be reviewed so the NFL officials can allow us more cap room to compensate our loss). If he couldn't heal by now, after all that help and his rehab was this long, he'd need an additional year just be able to play at the level we had expected.

Add "young" LB free agent to the list, or not at all and move Marshall up, with more time to develop, like Pierce.

Thanks for the information. We may be very, very lucky, if we unload about 3 players and their contracts and Barrow due to injury. Brown at OT/OG is not a liability, and when the guys come back, he'll stay as depth, with a nice price, instead of gaudy dollar figures, like the other "elders" we signed.

Glad they decided this while the decision still meant something.

Now he'll be 35 and who knows how he'll hold up even next year. What a waste.

And a roster spot. This should have been done weeks ago. He and Brunell fleeced us.

The only good thing about this Barrows mess was the development of AP. If it wasn't for the fact he cost us so much - I'm glad it turned out this way. Get him off the team and cut our losses. He shouldn't even be considered for a roster spot next year.

With all that Coach Gibbs has to deal with, this is now one less. Took longer than I thought, but it got done.

What a shame, makes us the laughing stock of the NFL again for going after a injured star. I suppose if we didn't sign him someone else would've. I hope something can be worked out to get him off our cap w/o major repercussions.

still need to keep in mind the fact that pierce is an unrestricted free agent. dont count barrow out just yet, lets see how willing pierce is to be a skin when he gets offered the big contract that he's playing like he deserves.
