I love this! Rock is the man!! I hope he puts some weight back on and becomes a short yardage back again. He was excellent at lowering his head and getting tough yards, I have no idea why he Joe Gibbs wanted him to lose the weight in the first place.

Interesting - I wonder if the team asks him to put back on the weight he lost last year?

ST monster for sure.

Short yardage specialist, to back up Betts.

I think Ron Warner was the other RFA that was tendered an offer and has not yet signed. Friday is the last day that other teams can make offers, so we should see them sign soon after that.

I think Ron Warner is signed, I know he was tendered. Betts is a better all purpose back but Rock has potential to be a Bettis-like specialist if he gains his weight back. It was Byner who got him to lose the weight, and I don't think just signing a guy to play special teams is a good move, anybody can do that, like Sellers and Prieoleau (however you spell it) a RB on the roster should make a difference, like Rock did for two years prior to last year.

Rock is a hard working guy. I wish him the best and hope that he plays a long time.

Rock for short yardage....OOOOYEAH!....I know our big $$$back and Betts can do alright but put the weight back on the Rock and he just power explodes through any little crevis he can find......didn't he have a great success % in 03 ?
