$200 Fantasy Football League -- I Choked in the Draft
Remeber when I asked for advice b/c I was drafting for a friend at work? Well I really underestimated how quickly people would be getting their 3rd RB and I ended up with a questionable team. The guy is paying $200 so I hope doesn't want to kill me, but here is the team:
Matt Hasselbach
David Carr
Duece McAllister
Mike Anderson
DeShaun Foster
Randy Moss
Andre Johnson
Drew Bennett
Marcus Robinson
Reggie Williams
Dallas Clark
Erron Kinney
Matt Stover
John Hall
Buffalo
Jacksonville
-- Keep in mind this league has weird rules. You have to draft 2-3-5-2-2-2 and you MUST keep 1-2-4-2-2-2???? Seems odd to me. One guy accidently drafted all RBs with the same bi week so I'm hoping to make a deal there. We'll see I guess, but I feel like this was a "swing and a miss".

What pick did you have? Was Moss your first rounder? How many teams in this league?

It doesn't look that bad, you have some good receivers and good running backs. Overall you have a good starting lineup but the bench is a little weak.

Don't be so hard on yourself. He should be able to win with that team. Hasselbeck should put up at least top 10 QB numbers. McAllister should put up top 5 RB numbers, and Moss is always a stud WR. Plus, you got Buffalo D/ST.
2nd RB looks like a problem, but only 20% of FFL is the draft. Your boy should be combing the FA market as a GM every week (another 20%). If he pulls the trigger on one of the unheralded RBs that takes over for an injured starting RB -- it happens at least once or twice in the first 4 weeks of the season -- he could upgrade that weak area himself. That's what I did with Dominic Davis a few years back and Rudy Johnson before that.

You team is pretty good, you got a high scoring D and 3 #1 WR, so you could make a trade with one of those guys for another RB.

Yeah, I really should have taken Willie Parker over Foster, but we'll see. I'll probably get stuck running the team on a weekly basis as well so I'll be looking for help.
Oh and I did the 3 #1 WRs b/c you have to start three (rather than a flex position).

I don't think Parker is gonna last in that running scheme in Pittsburgh. When deuce and Bettis are back willie is 3rd stringer again. He doesn't have the size to be a downhill runner.

I agree. The RB are solid, Mike Anderson looked good in the pre-season. And some are predicting Reggie Williams to have a break out year.

I have Drew Bennet and Andre Johnson on my team, I am starting to get a little worried, they are supposed to be my (2) best WRs.

12 teams and I picked 9th. Aside from Manning everyone went RB so I took Moss then McAllister (hoped Portis would fall but he didn't).

I am suprised McAllister lasted that long, people must of been scared off due to the Saints displacement. He has always been pretty good.

I agree. honestly I thought I would get Portis due to our weak offense. Portis went either 12th or 13th overall.
