Default Where do we go from here?

After today's game, what do you think? Vote. Explain.
This is a public poll, so you WILL have to explain yourself.

Fluke all the way. I've never seen a bigger fluke in my life.

We're not as bad as we played today, maybe the Giants are a better team right now, but the stars were aligned against us in every way. I think we rebound next week. It's a horrible loss but no matter how much you win or lose by it's only one game, we'll bounce back.

No way the Skins play like this again. No way they have 4 straight turnovers. And I doubt that the beloved owners of teams we're going to play are going to die before each game. This was a fluke.

I honestly think that had something to do with it. That is what I was most worried about going into the game.

Fluke...how else do you exlain a team going from the #2 offense in the league and coming off a 52 pt. performance to being shutout and looking horrible?

Fluke game. Although I can't explain any of our actions. All I know is we can never play like that again even if we try.

Believe it or not guys, the Eagles are actually on pace to get PASTED worse than us, currently losing 28-0 with almost 8 minutes left in the first half.

Becuase we ran up #'s against a crap team and belived our own press .With the way the Giants had been playing their D #'s were not true (misleading). We got soft and the coachs and the players are to blame we need to play evey single game like it's the last one , we didn't and the Giants and their coachs took full advantage of it .

I don't care what anyone else says. I am still a believer. Nothing will ever take away what happened on that Monday night. We played awful today. This Giants team IS overrated but they are a pretty good team. We could have beat them.

And 1 final note to go out on.
There is a reason we play 16 games a year, not just one. Sure this game could come back to haunt us, but our team is better than 8-8.

not a fluke. we've consistently had a fair amount of turnovers every game. the only thing we had going for us was the ability to move the ball. take that away and adios win. as for the rest of the season, i just dont know. im pulled in all directions. part of me thinks we'll learn from our mistakes and be able to right the ship. however, after watching the skins the past couple of years, the negative side thinks, here we go again. i swear, its hard to be a uva and a skins fan. every year we're a tease and some how manage to screw it up. this year is the first year in awhile where the skins have acutally looked pretty good. so maybe call me an optimistic realist. i am always hopeful and think that we could kick butt, however, it wouldnt surprise me if we do a nose dive from here.

Fluke. There was no effort or interest on the offensive side of the ball today, and that will beaten out of them.

Hate to post this but I saw the writing on the wall weeks ago. The Redskins are entering it's toughest stretch of the season and unfortuantly will most likely win 2 or 3 more games this season. Just ask Akhorus, he knows I've predicted this fall since the beginning of the season, I point him out because he likes to remind me of this from time to time.

The Redskins are in a transition stage here guys, they found out what it was like to win and also what it was like to get it's teeth knocked in, in a two week span. Every winning team must first find it's identity and then learn how to win games. Once they learn how to win they then learn how to win consistantly. Once winning becomes second nature your dynasty's are born - Eagles and Patriots of recent memory.

The Redskins have a long way to go. You guys might believe that todays loss was unpredicted but the only thing that was unpredictable to me was the margin of loss. When you couple in the "win one for the gipper" that the Giants were dealing with, the fact that most visiting teams are losing games this season, and couple in the fact that we always split with the Giants year after year, it should come to no one's surprise that we would lose today. I placed a bet on todays game and won. I would trade that money for a Redskins win any day.

You can go ahead and disagree and beat up this Skins fan up if you'd like because I've been all over the world waving the Redskins flag proudly and can take redicule about my Redskins from anyone including Redskins fans. I know in my heart that the Redskins are my team and can judge them honestly. In answering the overall question, I believe that today will begin a losing streak for us. The Redskins are not going to be able to beat Philidelphia or the Buccaneers, we could beat the Raiders if we play very well, we cannot beat the Chargers, we could beat the Rams but they play much better at home then on the road - they beat Jacksonville today at home, we WILL beat the Cardinals, we will lose to the Cowboys because they are the best in the devision, we will beat the Giants and avenge todays loss, and if the game matters we will lose to the Eagles again. That's it folks, my prediction game by game. I sure hope I am wrong, very wrong and we win the rest of the schedule but I don't think for a minute that is possible.

I'm not trying to jump out the window on this team and committ fan suicide. I understand that turning things around takes time. We will have games like today but maybe just maybe the heart is beating loud enough that we can avenge today's loss next week. What is the most important thing about today's game I believe is that we need to learn from this. We need our team to look at itself in the mirror right now and decide if they are the team that blasted the 49'ers or the team that got destroyed by the Giants?

Our coaches need to figure out how to stop quicker RB's. Why is it that Tatum Bell ran all over us? Why is it that Barber walked all over us today? This is not a mistake people, we have real problems on this team. The sooner we admit that the sooner the holes can be fixed, honesty is what the team needs. It's very possible that this team could be 1-6 instead of 4-3, we need to not look at records or playoff hopes and instead simply be honest about itself and figure out how to fix the lines. Our QB is getting beat up, our RB cannot get going, our D-line cannot stop fast RB's, our Kicking game has blocking problems....the sooner we forget about all the division titles, winning records, playoff hope dreams and fix these holes the sooner the team will learn how to win consistantly.

Whatever the current squad decides about itself the fact is that the remaining schedule looks horrible to me with only one "gimmie" game the rest of the way. To think that we will have any better record then 8-8 when its over and done is to me to be thinking with your heart, and not your heads.

I've said since last summer and I believe this to be the case...the Redskins will finish this year out of the playoffs, next year if the coaching stays the same and we keep the same systems in place we will be in the playoff's perhaps deep into the playoffs. Turning this around is going to take time so stick by the Skins and it will pay off. This team is not ready for the next level until it fixes the holes. That's the way I see it.
