Default Prediction's- Skins/Eagles...

For some reason I have a feeling that very few points get scored in the 1st half. Both teams are coming off huge losses and neither can afford to lose this game. So, I think both teams will be very careful in the beginning, to see where they're at.
In the second half, our offense gets in a groove and we get a turnover on Defense that provides a score. Philly will get their points too but the turnover is the difference.

Skins- 17

Eagles- 14

Brunell- 16/24, 220 yds, 2 TD's
Portis- 117 yds
Moss- 134 yds, TD
Cooley 50 yds, TD

McNabb- 20/45 180 yds, 2TD's, 1 INT
Westbrook- 120 combined yds, TD
LJ Smith- 30 yds, TD

I won't make any brash predictions after last week, but I think the Redskins can win, and I hope by a lot...

Plus my fantasy team proudly features Brunell, Portis, and Moss, so I'm hoping for a big game from them (although I'll gladly take a fantasy loss for a 'Skins win.....)

Not liking our chances today with our banged up DL, Westbrook has another huge day running the ball and catching a few as well.

Without T.O., McNabb feels his confidence just a little shaken. L.J. and B.W. have pretty big games, but Moss, Patten, Cooley, and Portis keep us in it and pull out the win.

Brunell: 17/24, 286 yards, 2TD
Moss: 6 receptions, 102 yards
Patten: 5 receptions, 83 yards, TD
Portis: 22 carries, 112 yards, TD
Cooley: 4 receptions, 64 yards, TD
Hall: 3 XP, 1 FG

McNabb: 25/48, 287 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Westbrook: 14 carries, 103 yards (two carries for 42, 37 yards), 1 rushing TD; 12 receptions, 105 yards, 1 recieving TD
L.J. Smith: 4 receptions, 35 yards, TD
Reggie Brown: 5 receptions, 87 yards

That interception leads to the game-winning field goal, halfway through the fourth quarter.

After that Giants game I don't have the slightest inkling as to what is going to happen tonight.

Redskins win 20-14.

McNabb won't be able to pass on us, and Westbrook won't be able to win it by himself. Cooley and Patten will score.

Thoughts before the game:

1. Their offense against our defense: Yes, this is a big question mark on both sides of the line, how will their depleted passing defense minus the cancer combined with their 32nd ranked run offense compare against our injured front dline? Iggles will be playing with some fury to prove they can be effective without "The O-don't say his name" I would like to see the 3-4 defense used, with someone[maybe Washington] permamently shadowing Westbrook. Concentrate on not allowing the big play, lay back a little bit in the secondary and hope that we can generate some pass-rush up front, would like to see our speed pass-rushers in their so that we can zone up on Westbrook. Concentrate on making the tackles, and I think we can expect to have Springs, Harris, and Rogers to man up on their receivers. I would like to have the Strong Safety help with coverage on Westbrook.

2. Our offense against their defense: Establish a rhythm, running the ball to the edges, their run defense is strongest up the middle, and the edge is where Clinton is strongest. Spread the field with Cooley, Moss and Patten,
and focus on making the catches. I would like 1 quick toss to Moss at LOS and then a fake later in the game with a toss over the faked out CB. I would also like to see some more left side rollouts by Brunell, and maybe a reverse, Brunell to Clinton back to Brunell to Patten/Jacobs for a long gain to keep the Iggles honest.

Overall, I too have no idea what to expect, I am most concerned about the emotional Phillies trying to prove they don't need TO, it might just unite them, but its a can of worm because they have lost a HUGE WEAPON from their arsenal. I can't say that they have much beyond Westbrook offensively, I hope we don't hurt ourselves with turnovers and Brunell can get into a rhythm and adjust to what is thrown at him.

My prediction: I'll take the fifth, Statistically we are better, we are at home, but I also thought we would have faired better last week than we did. I hope last week's game is a sorepoint for the team and we come out determined not to repeat last's week performance and not find ourselves in the cellar and a 1-2 record within the division.

Default Westbrook gets new extension

Westbrook signs new extension

I wonder what this will do to his play tonight, he might want to come out and try to prove his "new" worth, he will be playing motivated tonight to say the least....

Motivating a team with distractions, poor play, injuries, is paramount due to moral issues. I expect this also. I think GW knows what MW is to the Eagles, as he is used mainly as a short to medium receiver more than a RB, to draw the defensive LB's out of position for McNabb's lanes. Since ST already has his bad play under his belt and is playing with more of a chip on his shoulder, Lewis, Brown, Pinkston, and JT are not forgotten in all this mess, with TO, McNabb, and Westbrook has a BIG X on him as well.

Didn't the Iggles say they don't renegotiate contracts, they must really want to stick it to TO now that he's gone.

before TO got suspended I had the Skins winning 24-13, but now i have a disturbing feeling that Philly will rally around McNabb and win a tough game 16-13. I'm on my knees praying that this is not the result, but i just have a really bad feeling about this game.
