World Cup draw
I will be the first to declare the World Cup draw being held Friday to be a farce. I know, I know, it hasn't even happened yet. Still, I have no doubt that Germany and Brazil will have patsies in their groups and the U.S. will have all top 10 teams to play. We shall see if I am correct.

It's screwed up when Mexico has a better chance at a seed than we do when we just kicked them in the teeth.

My official guess for the US Draw is:
US, France, Ukraine and Australia.
But they had a really tough draw in 02 and did great.

that wouldn't be too bad. France is not the dominant team they were in the late 90s. australia has been tearing it up in qualifying, but they're playing nation's with a total population less than that of DC...of course they're going to blow. we'll find out in 4 days.

Hey, do you want to reveal our plans now? Or are we still worried that the authorities are watching this thread...

sure. somehow i weaseled my way onto the list of people able to buy tickets at face value for the US matches before they go on sale to the general public. if the draw works out well, Akh and i will be in Germany in june for the group games decked out in the good old Red, White and Blue. if we pull it off, i guarantee you we'll be on TV. however, we make no guarantees that we won't end up on FIFA's hooligan list.

I know about as much about soccer as I know about underwater welding. That said, I still like watching the World Cup. Go Team USA!
