I don't know anything about this guy. He isn't even in my draft guide. Does anyone have anything on him?

I thought we were going to get a CB. Was this guy the "Best Availible"? We are a lil thin at DT though. I just got scared last season when Springs went down and we all noticed a drop off.

On the fip side,.... If the FO saw 1 piece of film on him, they have seen more than I have.

All this equals=

Trust in Gibbs & Co.

Thank God we are players in FA because if we had to rely on the draft, we would suck every year. This has not been a good draft, IMO. There were better players available at both our picks.

Yuck! Not happy at all. Rod Wright was there, the DT from Stanford was there, Sir Anthony (although I not a huge fan) was there. I don't understand it at all.

How can you not like this?

"From the time I put my foot in the door, it felt like home," he said. "Everybody was so friendly, so nice, I could feel the love." ...

Well I've never heard of him in my life, but from a roster standpoint it doesn't really make too much sense..how many players do we have right now between CB and S?

Some stuff from Scout.com

Quote:

Ht: 6-5 Wt: 311 40: 5.24 Year: 4Sr
Bio: Full-time starter the past two years after seeing significant action with the first team as a sophomore. Senior totals included 54/6/3 after 48/9/3 the prior year.
Pos: Explosive thumper in the middle, tough to knock off his feet. Explodes off the snap and displays good range on the field. Takes up a lot of room in the middle of the line, keeps his feet moving on contact and is consistently doubled by opponents. Athletic and displays the ability to drop into coverage.
Neg: Must improve his hand technique and become quicker shedding blocks at the point. Not light on his feet. Seemingly tires easily.
Analysis: A solid run defender with the physical skills to develop into a player at the next level, Montgomery must improve the details of his game but offers a degree of upside.
The only reason I am unhappy with this pick is I am not sure there will be a roster psot for him and if there is I am not sure how good he will be over Boschetti or the recently departed Aki Jones.

Oh well this should make some of DT lovers out there happy.

Possesses good size and flashes the ability to hold ground when teams run at him. Uses hands fairly well and flashes the ability to shed blocks quickly. Is tall, has long arms and can get hands up in passing windows. Lost a considerable amount of weight during 2005 off-season and had strong senior season.
