Virginia Beach High School forfeits all 2009 games

This is just terrible for the other players and students. The head coach was just named Redskins High School Coach of the Week for the week of September 21, 2009 and now this.

i actually live here in virginia beach and talk to one of the coaches at one of the other high schools alot and he said that it wasnt the coach or the school the kid lied about some pretty major things so that he could go to ocean lakes he said that his dad was overseas for deployment and was having problems at home and was living with some friends just so that he could play for them so its not all the schools fault granted they should have looked into it better first. they were second in the region behind oscar smith h.s which is ranked 7th nationally

Wow, this is so harsh! The school administration is the one at fault. We had to prove residency when we moved 2 years ago for my son to attend his new HS but we didn't have to show that stuff to the football coach, just the front office, how's the coach supposed to know who's eligible and who's not unless the front office gives him the correct info?

i am very familiar with this story. I live in Virginia Beach and the ineligible player was SUPPOSED to go to my high school, but he cheated. Not to mention the people from Ocean Lakes are some COCKY SOB'S.
