DFA: Final mock
Link
Guff on! This is my last mock of this cycle(okay okay stop cheering lol). I'm going to do something different than usual next week, and if you have any draft questions you would like me to answer, pm me and I'll provide it with the rest of them that I've gotten so far.
Rest of the skins’ picks:
2nd(natural): Andy Dalton QB TCU He might need to sit for a few games before throwing him into the fire, but he has mobility and a live arm.
5th(natural): Dwayne Harris WR ECU. His stock has dropped because he couldn’t separate from the pack of 2nf/3rd tier WRs.
5th(from Nola): Lee Ziemba OT/OG Auburn. I could see Shanny moving him to RG.
6th(natural): Evan Royster RB PSU. Good size and looked solid at his pro day.
7th(natural): Ugo Chinasa 34 OLB Oklahoma State. Came out of nowhere with a great pro day, his lack of stock prior to that depresses his value.
7th(from Indy): David Arkin OG Missouri State. Very raw, but great athletic tools.
7th(Comp): Martin Parket DL Richmond. Good tools, he needs to bulk up.

i dont think Dalton will be still there at 41
BUT if Newton is still there at 10, Shanahan will have NO trouble trading down

I'm still not feeling Royster. He looked like a RB on the wrong side of 30 last year.

Im not sure Dalton or any QB that we might actually like will be left @41. Infact I think Newton, Gabbert, Mallet, Locker, Dalton, Ponder and Kaepernick might all be gone before we pick in the 2nd.

Imo, no team who is after Newton will want to give up much for him since you won't see much return from him immediately.

Yes, but the skins seem to like him(for whatever reason).

Unless there's a flurry of dealing up, I seriously doubt that 4-5 of them will be gone by 41.

I could see him fitting the running system here, but for about 3 yards a pop, lol. He just didn't have a burst last year like he's had in the past. Maybe he was hurt and just didn't tell anyone. I think he has some work ethic issues as well.

Realistically, the teams that would take a Qb from 11-40:
Miami(but they want Palmer pretty badly)
Philly(doubtful, but its possible)
Seattle(also doubtful)
Jacksonville(50/50)
Minny(but they seem to want a vet over a rebuild w/their older roster)
Cincy
Arizona(if they don't take a QB at 5)
Tennessee(if they don't take one at 9)
San Fran(but everyone is reporting that they're going to resign Alex Smith and roll with him)
At most, I could see Cincy, Tennessee or Arizona taking one in the 2nd if they don't take one in the first. But if they all pass on Qbs in the first, there will be more Qbs available at the top of the 2nd.
It would be better if we dealt down to the 17-21 range and took whomever we really wanted, but I think that Dalton(and others) will be there at 41.

You're just making Shanny fall deeper in love with him.

+1
agree that there will be a big stampede on QB's in the latter half of round 1 and the first 10 picks of round 2
