The Eagles had 1 sack from a non-DLmen. Cole, THomas, Bunkley and Patterson had all but 1 sacks. The bears had 5 out of their 6 sacks from the Dline.

regardless, atleast our D Line is showing some signs of life. I don't care if they were playing against Notre Dames offensive line.

If he keeps up at this rate, Carter is a lock for double digit sacks, which is a good season by anyone's standards. But he seems to be playing a bit different now. Before the sack in the Giants game, he was going to get one sack a game and not a game changing one. But in the last two games, his sack set up our TD againts the Giants and led to a safety today. Those are impact sacks. He is making a difference, which is huge for this defense.

I also like what Marcus Washington, face mask aside has been doing on obvious passing downs playing DE. I hope he is not out to long. Teams that refuse to run are often easier to sack, but I think a good game builds morale and momentum so lets hope we see some carry over to the Packers game.

I beg to differ.
Andre Carter is getting pressure against everyone. Marcus Washington is an outstanding pass rusher, I've been watching him closely, he has a variety of moves and can even push inside which even Carter struggles to do. Maybe his calling if he's not as effective at lb anymore with the injuries this season.
I think we are getting pressure this season. I don't know if the Lions O line is terrible as much as they leave their qb's uncovered with the 4 and 5 wide sets they run. If you are doing that as often as they do you're gonna get your qb hit against teams who can generate pressure like we can now.
I think we'll do the same thing to the packers next week and the Cardinals after that.
We are getting pressure from Chris Wilson when he rushes , and also from Evans when he rushes plus Griffin is working inside.
So I think its a pleasant surprise thats helping us get it done so far this season.
Having corners, Springs and Rogers playing well helps as well as the play of our outstanding safeties.

As much as I'd hate to lose MW for a while, the hamstring that I worry more about is ARE's. He's been our most reliable (and I'd argue, most valuable) receiver this year, in terms of making big catches that keep drives alive, and helping Campbell develop.

The DL has definitely been getting closer to the QB in the last couple of games. Eli was under pressure more than a few times too, which I think bodes well as far as our young guys are concerned.
Also, did anyone see Carter throw Jeff Backus out of his way on the safety? I think that was a judo move.

andre carter had himself one hell of a game. constantly pressuring, and made jeff backus look like......stephon heyer pre-season form.
i really liked that formation that has marcus washington at DE and phillip daniels moved inside. although with MW down, perhaps we won't be seeing it for awhile.

depends upon how severely it is injured.. tommie harris injured his LAST YEAR and is still not fully over it.
i dont think it has anything to do with the heat.. you might get cramps from the heat but not a tear.. it comes from over training and the muscles being too strong for their attatchments.. then you have an explosive move and something rips
as much as they stretch, some players just seem to get them all the time..
anywhere from a couple of weeks to the entire season.. there is no one answer

they are always talking about how strong and how well conditioned that AC is.. it really showed. that was 300 pounds of tackle that carter "humped" out of the way and then got to the qb.. he has great strength obviously, but has terrific hands and technique that showed up on that one..
