Default Trading Players and Cap

Another basic question for you all, soz!

I understand that if a player is cut, his projected salary, bonus, etc still continues over onto the teams Cap, for future season(s).

However, what happens if a player is traded? Are their wages wiped from the Cap????

Cheers

Actually if a player is cut, his bonus is slapped on the cap that year. His salary isn't though.

If a player is traded, it's the same deal. The team has to absorb his bonus.

Cheers for the explanation Dave

Throws new light on our off-season strategy. Hope the new coaches can work wonders with a lot of what we already have!
