Talk about a silver lining....

Question: If it were up to you; would you trade the #13 for Vinny's pink slip right now?

Fixed for you, lol.

BTW, if there was any tampering, it was Snyder who initiated it. After all, he was the one seen having dinner with the agent. Can we fire the owner, lol?

if i had any faith that he'd be replaced with someone showing even a shred of competence, yes. unfortunately, i don't have that confidence.

Does anyone know why Tennessee wouldn't file a formal complaint if they thought there was something here? Are there repercussions (aside from the politics amonst owners) at stake should they do so and there's nothing to it? I just don't understand why they'd ask for an investigation and provide 'evidence' versus just making the claim. Lower profile I guess.

PFT seems to think they did file a grievance, they're just trying to frame it as if they didn't do anything to aggravate the situation. according to them it sounds like you can't just ask the league to look into it, you have to actually file the complaint.

OK. That distinction didn't make any sense to me, so I guess this is just how they framed it with a little dash of passive/aggressive.

If we did tamper, they don't have to penalize us... we're stuck with Snyder. That is penalty enough.

Maybe they'd penalize Snyder by giving him MORE draft picks since we all know he hates those.....

I don't think so, Snyder is the ideal cash cow to the nfl. He brings in tons of money and media, but doesn't win anything. Why wouldn't any team not like that, he adds to their coffers without taking any championships out. The nfl won't do anything about this at all except have a wrist slap conversation with snyder that we will probably never hear about.

the bad news there is that if you use the 49ers 5th round pick as the standard and consider that we don't have a 2010 5th this may cost us a 4th round selection just for being so cavalier with picks
We are missing our 2010 6th from the Taylor trade. As of now (it is 3:42 pm), we have our 6 other 2010 draft picks.

If you really want to punish Vinny and Dan, make them watch Vinny's movie. Like that scene in A Clockwork Orange where they peel Malcolm McDowell's eyelid back to force him to watch.

Wow. Interesting question. I would want to know who would replace him, and whether the replacement would have full autonomy. Then I would probably make the deal.
