It sticks on Corzine because he is corrupt and has not governed well. Some may say Christie ran a negative campaign, but when a candidate is accused of such by laying bare his opponents record is the complaint of negativity accurate?

When given the chance, always kick a hippie.

I didn't get out to vote today, as I'm just starting to get over the H1N1 and another of my kids came down with it this morning (my house has been a triage for the past week) but I was going to vote McDonnell. I liked his campaign and that he is a native of NoVA. Also, Deeds just doesn't inspire an ounce of trust out of me.

My heart sank when you wrote that one of your kids "succumbed to it this morning." Perhaps a better choice of words would have been "came down with it." Regardless, hope all of you recover quickly and happily. Stay safe.

My bad, I fixed it. Treating sick kids and getting sick yourself while still waiting for the sickness to be gone from your house brings out tragic sounding talk, I guess. In reality, it hasn't been that bad but the incubation is so damn long. Right when you think everyone who hasn't gotten it is in the clear, BAM, someone else has a fever.

Thanks man! I hope you have a chance to get everyone vaccinated before you are exposed.

it didnt keep Corzine from winning a Senate seat in the past.. corruption in New Jersey is no big deal (same as in louisiana)

edit: looks like it did cost Corzine this time... good riddance...

Maine surprised me. I did like what I heard other states offer which was a civil protection of the rights of gay partners without getting married.

So NY 23 went to the Democrats for the first time in 135 years. Looks like the Republicans in that district just didn't have the right candidate. Scozzafava was practically a Democrat and the other guy was too far right.

I'm 99.9% sure that Maine's legislature will just pass another gay marriage law and this will be up for a vote next year lol.

god help the GOP if the teabaggers start going after the moderate candidates in moderate states. this ought to be a lesson for them, but sadly, i don't think it will be.

$666 million in gross sales-it would be rather difficult to post $100 million in pure profit off that. Sounds like funny math.
yeah...throw in the property and sales taxes gained (i assume they don't tax their own places) and something just doesn't seem right. i'd be interested to see the article if they explain how they came to those numbers.

Considering that Erikson and his ilk are declaring the loss a victory, I'm guessing that this merely the beginning. Mark Kirk is asking for Palin's endorsement when she's in Chicago for Oprah.

Florida comes to mind although the folks in the Crist camp seem pretty confident.

Did I really put an apostrophe in there?

Anyway, there was no explanation in the article for the annual revenue. The $500 million estimate comes from McDonnell.
