Kyle called the plays last year in Houston. I believe his first game as play-caller was the end of '08

As I've stated before, when you were thinking my analysis was rooted in emotion, there's more to being an OC than calling plays. There's this thing called leadership he seems to be missing with alleged media leaks, pigheaded-, or simply a general lack of any emotional intelligence.
Ah yes, the old "you haven't posted for two hours" argument. Brilliant.

All my points still stand. Based on his time in Tampa and Houston Kyle Shanahan was a sensible hire to be the Skins' OC. .

Everything I've read on it says that Kubiak was the playcaller. Do you have any links to support this?

This franchise is so far gone, I have no confidence Shanahan will even sniff a SB here.

Most of the articles that ran when Kyle was named play-caller quoted Mike as saying he did a great job calling plays the previous year.

There is an article out there where Kubiak revealed Kyle called the entire Week 17 game in 2008, his fist time doing that. I remember finding a Houston Chronicle article where Kub formally turned over play-calling duties to Kyle last year in pre-season.

What have you read that says he never called plays in Houston - other than the agent's statement?

The thread title asks if Shanahan will win a SB here, and I would say the answer is NO. At this rate and with his staff, I don't think we'll even make the playoffs, much less win a SB imo.

Actually, if that's what you took from my argument, you're brilliant.

Sensible hire? Well, given it's not hypothetical how that hire has turned out, I guess it makes sense if you want your argument to work. But the "sensibility" you mention is it should be a precedent for nepotism and hiring inexperienced whiteboard artists.
