I disagree with this. If someone is wrong they should be called out on it. Being a conservative is not an excuse, nor is a license to say utterly inaccurate things all the time.
Giving up on the debate is what makes propagandist networks like FOX news successful. The court of public opinion is important. And while fringe people on both sides are impervious to the facts, elections and therefor policy is dictated by the middle. Moderates/Centrists generally can be persuaded. |

woah...i remember hearing it and it was quite obvious she was trying to sound "hip" and as Keino pointed out it is quite stupid to do so.
That does not give Fox news several years later the license to sound racist and stupid and pander to the worse parts of their viewership.

No, there are thousands of times when doing what this Fox guy did is considered acceptable. I just chose the President's wife since it was, I dunno, kinda close to him.

Yea, that's where we disagree. I think it's a bad joke and racist.
It would be no different than someone putting on a Jerry Stiller voice and playing up Jewish stereotypes. The ADL would be all over it and rightly so.

Well if that person was racist, he would be out of a job now wouldn't he? Hopefully he will apologize and learn from this. Or be suspended over these remarks as you have to watch what you say regardless. As we live in a politically incorrect world these days.
