We should probably make bets on whether it'll be the biggest blowout in franchise history.

Just lost our #1 receiver and a half decent o-lineman for the remainder of the season (as if they've made any difference in wins anyway). I'd say we're toast this Sunday.

We met these guys a few years back, with a much better team, and it wasn't pretty. I expect this to be a very thorough beat down.

61-13. It'll be like a college beatdown.

13 points? If I recall correctly we only scored 7 last time in garbage time, Brady was still playing in the 4th, and throwing TD passes. Talk about humliation.

I think you are giving the Pats too much credit. They were full of mistakes last week against a team much worse than the Skins.

Much worse? I guess it's all in how you frame it. This Colts team will most likely have the worst record this season and has proven, to anyone who doubted, how important Peyton Manning is to the team but this is the first season out of the last 10 that they won't be in the playoffs. Only the second season out of the last 13 that they didn't achieve double digits in the Win column.
They will be rewarded with the top pick in the draft, which just happens to be the most heralded and complete looking QB since.... Peyton Manning.
I know none of this means ish when talking about the Indy/NE game last week but I think perspective is due before making any current comparisons. The Colts have consistently been the biggest obstacle for the Pats and that makes any game they play more than a superior team vs a weak team.
I would not hesitate to bet the Patriots this week and give the points.

61-13 is never a likely spread no matter how big the talent differential is. But given the disparity between the two teams it's within the realm of possibility. The Pats are outscoring their opponents by an average of 10 points a game. They have scored 160 more points than us this season, and allowed fewer. I don't think we have that much of a chance.

Yes, much worse. Just glance down the Colts' schedule and results this year and make a case they aren't quite a bit below the Skins. We certainly stink, but we're not Colts-level stinky, lol.
And I agree with you about taking the Pats and the points (which I believe is 8 or 9). The Pats should win big, something in the neighborhood of 27-10.

I was really just throwing out something ridiculous because it'll be a blowout. 61-13 could happen. They put up 52 on us the last time we played and though no Moss, they still have Brady and Welker. Gronksowski has become a TD stud, and Hernandez is no slouch either.
We had the 8th ranked D back then and we have the 9th ranked D now. And though their defense is a weak spot this year, we just lost 2 of our best players on offense. They'll crowd the box and challenge Rex to beat us with his arm. We all painfully know what that formula leads to.

Has anybody said we have a chance? I just don't think we're going to get beat by 40, that's all.

That was before losing Davis and Williams. There's now a giant void to fill on Rex's blindside, which could close up all the running lanes for Helu, and have Rex waddling his life away or just throwing ground balls again. He lost his #1 receiver in Davis too. His safety blanket. He now has Paulson and I don't even know who at TE. If Helu gets shut down rushing they'll either use him as an outlet, or bring in Royster to pass block. Given Kyle's propensity calling passes and the likelyhood of the Pats shutting down the run, then our main weapons are: Moss, Paul, Armstrong, Stallworth, Anderson, Austin and Paulson.

I hate to bring this up but I actually don't hate doing it at all:
