Default Trading UP for Luck or RGIII - Hypothetical

There are rumors that Shanahan may be trying to work a deal now with the Rams [who may be first or second in the draft] for their choice. If this is true then Shanahan is locking in a deal which is adventageous to both teams. The Rams know what draft picks they will have in advance. Also they hedge their bets in case Luck or RGIII start sliding down in the draft.

QUESTION # !: GOING FOR LUCK or RGIII?? - Assuming we have enough trade value AND we will aggressively try to move up in the draft - WILL will the team try to get either of these players?

QUESTION #2. YOU'RE MR. GM - HOW MUCH TO TRADE?? As the GM what would YOU trade to assure being in a position to for either LUCK or RGIII what would you trade NOW ( as our GM) for us to get either of these two players.

QUESTION QUESTION #3 --- WHAT WILL THE TEAM DO? What draft picks and players do you think we actually will trade to get a team NOW to make a pre-draft agreement for either of these picks?

1. Yes, we will try to trade up now for the spot to get either QB.

2. Our first, second or third picks and OT Williams.

3. This years 1st and second, plus next years first and second draft pcik.

Although the point value per draft pick is still around - is it obsolete with the new rookie contract?

Could you provide a source of where you find Shanahan is working a deal with the Rams?

If these rumors are true, it's a good thing Minnesota beat us today then, as it places the Rams firmly in 2nd.

Trading with the Rams early would solidify our chances of getting RGIII

Adam schefter was the one who speculated that the redskins would indeed be likely to trade up. It's just speculation, but we all know schefter and shanny are bros.

I'm not sure if I could stomach not having a 1st round draft pick for the next three-four years

I think another important question is whether Indy will be interested in trading down if they fall to No. 2 or if THEY like RGIII

I could... if Luck or RG3 were in the B&G during the next 3-4 years, we need a franchise QB in the worst way. Ive heard rumblings on twitter that RG# may stay too though and if that happens its Luck or continue to round out the team like we did this past season and try to trade for a QB thats better than Rex.

Still would like to hear everyone else's opinion on the "Trade Up" scenario. Risk the cream of one or two drafts to get Luck or RGIII? Is the gamble worth the possible reward?
