Oh, well,

Georgetown has a big weekend coming up.

McDonald's All-American Devonta Pollard is coming for a visit.

He's expected to make his decision early next week.

G'Town is also in the running for 6-11 Robert Upshaw.

Get these two guys to go along with D'vauntes Smith-Rivera and Brandon Bolden and I'd call it a very successful recruiting year.

Much easier, but I'd believe either.

Credit #Terps staff for making quick work of Evan Smotrycz. #Terps had no preexisting ties w/him but moved quickly & secured a commitment.

#Terps frontcourt had been painfully undersized in recent years. In 11 months, Turgeon's added six players 6-8 or taller.

BREAKING: Guard Terrell Stoglin will not return next season

In a stunning development, sophomore Terrapins men's basketball guard Terrell Stoglin will not return to the team next season after declaring for the NBA Draft on Sunday night, according to a report.

Stoglin announced he would return for his junior season in late March, but InsideMDSports.com reported this morning that he filed paperwork with the NBA on Sunday, the final day college players could enter the draft.

Stoglin led the ACC in scoring this season, averaging 21.6 points per game, and was expected to be a cornerstone of what some believed would be coach Mark Turgeon's first NCAA Tournament team in College Park.

Honestly, this is his best shot to make the NBA, because there is no way he scores 18 ppg next season and Turgeon will have enough depth to bench Stoglin for his antics (like the cross-over, step-back and hoist a contested 3 with 20 seconds still on the shot-clock). I was wondering if he would be able to play with Sam Cassell, Jr. and I think we now know the answer.

There are rumors that there was something else involved with this decision and that the decision that Stoglin would leave the program was a mutual one. Some of the users on InsideMDsports are speculating academics or weed or both.

Wasn't necessarily Stoglin's choice. Had to go.

Stoglin leaving doesn't bother me ..... Honestly though he held back others while he was on the floor. This could very well be addition through subtraction.

Weed between the lines.....

Agreed Patrick...

I don't see how that is possible. You gotta think with Len getting a full summer, Shaq coming in and Cassell, we will have some legitimate scoring threats.
