Conte is under investigation for an alleged fix when he was coach at Siena, so Juve doesn't risk anything. There were also a bunch of other arrests, and more could follow.
The old guard is slowly making way for the Arturo Vidals and Miralem Pranjics of the world so it's only a matter of time before Serie A rejoins the English and Spanish leagues.

Eden Hazard announced that he's taking his talents to Central London, not Manchester.

Half a mil a year apparently. I know Fergie had a major man crush on him but there was no way they were going to pay him that much especially with Rooney's highest earner clause. Kagawa is almost a lock though and hopefully the Glazers' realize they need to also spend money on the only team they own that actually makes it. I can't say I'm not disapointed but hopefully they spend that money on a central midfielder.

78 million pounds between all costs. Thats insanity.

On another note, the player who accused Conte of being involved with the betting scandal now says he wasn't involved and didn't know anything about the fixed matches.

Good business decision especially if Park is gone. United wants to continue attracting and building the Asian fanbase. I can't blame them and I'll bet Liverpool also gets an Asian player during the transfer period to appease their kit sponsors.

Words of wisdom from humble Balotelli:

"I think I am a genius, but not a rebel. I have my life, my world, I do what I want, without annoying anyone. I believe I am more intelligent than the average person. It is said that geniuses are misunderstood. So perhaps genius is so different that people don't understand. The talent God gave me is beautiful and wonderful, but it is difficult because you are always facing other people keen to judge you. There are few people with such talent, so there are few able to judge what I am doing."

Wonder how Torres feels about Chelsea spending all that money on Hazard and Hulk. If he thought there weren't a lot of scoring chances to go around last year, then he is in for a treat in 2012/2013. Next season, I think he will spend even more time sitting exactly where he sat during the CL Finals; on the bench.

In Liverpool news...it looks like Brendan "Buck" Rodgers will become the new manager with Louis van Gaal taking over as Director of Football. I dig this setup. Old school guy overseeing an up-and-coming manager. I just hope their egos don't get in the way. I hear Van Gaal doesn't have a lot of leeway outside of his own opinion.

Rodgers did a great job with Swansea. They came out slow to start the season but they tied against Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea and got valuable wins over Arsenal, City and Liverpool.

Now, its time to sit back and see how this current roster shakes out over the summer...

He's gone imo. They'll sell him somewhere(Madrid, Barca, Liverpool, Man City. Milan, Inter etc)

I know nothing about Rodgers, but I think Liverpool did well getting Van Gaal. Imo, they need to flush that team and start again basically. Sell Suarez, Carroll, Downing and all the dead weight. If you can find some bargains out there(and I think you can, especially with attackers), I think that the fans will give them more time.

I'd take a flyer on Torres. not too much, but with no guarantees that Adebayor is back, I'd look at it. Less pressure for him.

Agreed on Liverpool. Have to cleanse Comolli out of the system. At least he left us with Luka and Bale. I think Suarez is tapped out on value, so I don't think you can get more for him than right now.

I have no idea where our fallout is going to land. I just hope it's not too bad. Assuming this Vertongen thing gets done, we're looking left back, midfield, two strikers, and a young replacement for old man Friedel (who was much better than I thought he could be last year).

Spurs and Liverpool seem like they'll be after the same undervalued(or could be had cheaply) attackers like Krasic, Olić, Robinho, Pato, Pazzini, Sahin, Nilmar etc. Liverpool has Suarez to offer in return and Carroll to sell to raise cash.

Suarez isnt' going anywhere, IMO. He didn't score as many goals as they wanted but he also hit the woodwork a ton (unlucky) and he tried too hard to get things done on his own. I fully believe he will be given a complimenting striker to help bring the best out of him. Not to mention that Louis van Gaal has already backed Suarez to stay with the club prior to him even taking the job...

I also have a sneaky suspicion that Carroll will have a breakout showing at Euro 2012, so he may end up making his way back into Liverpool's good graces...

I'd buy Carroll staying over Suarez. I think that if someone made a decent offer on Luis, he's gone--especially if they can get a useful player as part of it.

I think that's what we have to do. With us choking down the stretch and Bayern choking down the stretch, we've got to look for value. Even if Modric goes, we're looking for bargains.

Can't see Suarez being sold as his replacement would need to be an instant difference-maker on the pitch, something Liverpool are in short supply of. Suarez stays as he offers more than Carroll.

Problem with Carroll is he needs service from the flanks, which is at odds with the keep-possession footie Brendan Rodgers (if he's appointed) has had Swansea playing this season. Another knock on Carroll is that he was Dalglish's buy, so the new manager won't afford him the same loyalty.

I can't decide which of the the bolded statements is more wrong.
