Over-valued by who? And taking your point to its logical extreme, ManU had better sell Rooney and the Arse should sell van Persie on the basis that they'll get more for them now than they will in two or three year's time.

Rooney isn't a good example because he's an established superstar and his value will stay high for a couple windows after his play starts to decline. I think thats a fair comment on RvP and if his wife/mother weren't demanding to stay in London, Arsenal would be cashing in on him to Man City or Juventus.

Dont' forget that Torres' 50M transfer helped fund most of those transfers. (If I recall, Torres+Babel was technically a swap for Suarez+Carroll)
All 3 of these guys have been called up for England duty for Euro 2012 so it will be good to see how they handle it.

Can't be confirmed until the 13th but Lavezzi appears to be heading to PSG. Next target would be Modric...
plenty of smoke screens here...

Since I've been known to dish it out to you guys on your squad's terrible kits (Juve's pinks, United's picnic wear...etc), I thought I'd come right out and say Liverpool's away jersey is horrendous.
There is a reason why Gerrard has a nasty look on his face. His jersey sucks. The "collar" is supposed to be a nod to a retro 1910s jersey that wanted to bring out elements of the Liverpool fishermen from that era. Instead, its a cross between a caped superhero and a scuba wetsuit.

It's right up there with our black kit with the big yellow streak across it. It was terrible.

That was this past season's 3rd kit, right? Did they even wear it more than once? Its possible they shelved it due to looking hideous. I hope Liverpool does the same thing with the SuperScuba.
I'm crossing my fingers that Liverpool's 3rd kit is outstanding but I doubt it. Rumors say it will look like a purple Fiorentina kit but with paisley on the sleeves. C'mon, man...

Nothing wrong with Paisley, the former club manager....but I got problems with paisley (the design) being on our third jersey; especially after witnessing that trainwreck of an away kit.

So Spurs fans...what is the consensus?
Will Harry get his much desired contract extension or will Spurs look elsewhere?
Without CL play next year, will Modric and/or Bale look for greener pastures?
Its pretty sad that your club is in this situation soley based on the single outcome of the CL Final. Had Chelsea lost, you would have gotten the CL for another year....Harry would have penned his extension and Modric/Bale would have been happier than they are now, right?

Not to step on DJ's post....
Juve very close to a deal for Udinese's Kwadwo Asamoah and Isla. 18 mil now, 18 mil next year.

Random Euro comment...
Badstuber and Mertesacker; Germany's Center Defender duo. Got to love those crazy German names. It would be even better if Butt was still their goaltender...

Co-ownership, huh? I have no idea how something like this works. Do you?

Its unique to italy. Basically you can buy half of a player if you agree where he plays that season(essentially on a loan) and you agree on his value, and then you have to come to a new agreement in a year or both teams go to a secret bidding process to see who keeps him.
FWIU, its co-ownership this year with a forced clause that Juve has to cough up 18 million in cash or players(Udinese has one of Juve's players on loan and wants to keep him, so he's probably part of it) next summer.
