I read somewhere the innings limit for Strasburg this year is 165. It would suck to shut him down in the middle of a playoff race but they will have no choice.

Yep that is the plan .... similar to what they did with J.Zimmerman. Now if it looks like they are going to make the playoff, they will probably have him on a once a week rotation (just my guess) maybe as early as late July.
Right now he's at 71 IP which is on a pace to be at his half way point BEFORE the All-Star Game.

9-6 over that stretch against the AL East. Not too bad at all.

Also it seems injecting cortisone into Ryan Zimmerman's AC joint is a very, very good thing.

Wow. On top of being a great pitcher, Strasburg is batting .375.
And with Bryan Harper really being an outstanding player as well as a consummate pro - who by the way has talked to Ryan Zimmerman about wanting to play a whole career in one place...
We are truly blessed.
Nats by far most well-put together team in DC right now from players to coaches to front office.

All we have to do is get his brother Bryce on the same page and the Nats will be in great shape

I love this.
In case you guys had not heard, Ozzie Guillen made a stink about the amount of pine tar on Bryce Harper's bat during an at-bat. Harper's bat was legal so he pointed the bat at Guillen to show him during his next at-bat. Guillen criticized the move as being unprofessional.
Ozzie Guillen complaining about unprofessional behavior. Yeah, that's a good one.
So in support of his teammate, Adam Laroche sends Guillen a Bryce Harper autographed bat.
Priceless.

Screw Ozzie. What does he know about playing nice?
Bryce plays hard....and plays with a chip on his shoulder and I think it is good for the Nats and good for baseball.
And quite frankly...Bryce's tip of the bat to Ozzie was subtle. A small jab? Sure, but not in-your-face offensive.

I love Ozzie Guillen because he's entertaining. Being entertaining is highly underrated in sports.

Youch that was terrible! As great as Davey Johnson has been, he royally screwed up last night. There were several times when guys needed the hook before he gave it to them. Strasburg was clearly fatigued. You know when guys hit 3 hard hits in a row off him after 88 pitches in the 6th he's done. Then Tyler Clippard throws 1 strike out of 9 pitches to 2 batters and 4 utterly wild pitches and Johnson leaves him in. Clippard should not have been available tonight anyway as he was terrible his last two outings in the 2-3 previous days. Same with Sean Burnett. The guy couldn't throw a strike if his life depended on it. Not sure if it was because of the rain but whatever the case he was clearly not on his game and should have been yanked.
Losing a 9-0 lead is terrible. Letting 6 runs get scored on guys who clearly should have been yanked 1-2 batters earlier is a Manager's problem. Davey stunk it up. I don't know what the hell he was thinking.
