last year was last year Rex grossman took an 8-8 and crapped the bed to a 5-11 fall .
RG I gotta figure is a substantial upgrade with Jenkins on the d line and another year in the system defensively with the added depth at wr we are gonna be a team to be dealt with.
That ranking is very low. But we'll see if Shanny is tracking for another season like that he's gotta be outa here.

Unfortunately, I think you are pretty much on the mark. I may replace the Cardinals with the Seahawks, but I don't see the Skins better than many other teams.
PFT is quite correct that the NFC East is a brutal division--likely the toughest in the NFL. Would anyone be surprised if we go 0-6 in the division this season?
We just have to hope RG3 is the real deal. We can't get frustrated and lose focus--we must continue to rebuild.

I don't see how the NFC East can be considered a brutal division.
Obviously the Redskins are terrible and have been for some time.
For some reason which I can never figure out, the cowboys are perennially overrated. They have 14 wins and 18 losses over the past two years, yet for whatever reason people act like they are a tough team to play. Newsflash: they suck, Jason Garret is not a good coach and Tony Romo is a choker of the highest caliber.
The Eagles spent 10 gazillion dollars on cornerbacks for some inexplicable reason despite having other needs such as LB. Their offense can be scary good.
Gints are a solid team IMO except they are streaky under Coughlin.

If anything,i think they are being generous putting us at 24.I would have put us at 26.

Meh...It's a reasonable starting point. I'm much more interested in where they are rated at the end of the year. I certainly hope and expect they will be in the top half.

Everything looks good on paper-but on the field is where we need to show it. I do not consider the ranking any kind of insult-at this point it is very realistic.
Do not get get me wrong I am pretty hyped about RG3 & everything that we hear-BUT I still think there will be some adjust from the college game to the Pro game. Hopefully RG3 makes the adjustment quickly.

Really don't get to caught up in ranking at this point. TOO many unknowns.

I can't get worked up about it honestly. Does anybody remember what our PFT ranking was last year? The year before? Has a coach ever said, "well, that's why we were ranked 24th by PFT..." after a loss?

I'm always wondering this myself. The Cowboys haven't really been good in the past 4 years or so. Ever since that one freak 13-3 season, they've been average (34-30).

Because they have the talent to be a contender, they just lack the coaching and have been for years.
