I guess I will chalk this off to a "crazy prediction".

I don't like our secondary talent either, but I think it is better then last years, just based off we have the same CBs. The Safeties are Meh at best, but that is better then we had last year. IMO the pass D will be serviceable, so if the front 7 can live up to their potential I think the D will be really good this year. I know big if, but if the D is strong this team is going to win much more then 4 games.

How is that crazy?
Garcon
Moss
Morgan
Hank
Robinson
That is 5 right there that are on the roster. I didn't see anything out of Armstrong that makes him deserve a spot on this roster...

By your logic, I would say "extremely crazy". We need to see if Hank & Morgan can return to full speed and show that they are fully recovered from their injuries. IMO, outside of Moss & Garcon, nothing is guaranteed, and competition will be fierce. Forgot about Robinson. It will be interesting to see how he competes.

I am with you, I don't think Armstrong is a give in at all. Barring Robinson completely bombing, I don't think Armstrong makes the team. We have Armstrong to be a deep threat, but now we got a much better version of that skillset in Garcon. Robinson also provides a ST skillset that Armstrong has not demonstrated. Hopefully a full year in Training camp and 2nd year on the team gets rid of the jitters Robinson had last year.

I think we will have 3 that can stretch the field, Garcon, Hankerson and Moss. I think that and Armstrong didn't play special teams makes him expendable (maybe he did play ST, I just don't remember him doing anything)

It sure won't be Austin or Banks taking his spot.

The running game will also set up great play-action opportunities.
I personally believe Anthony Armstrong will have a break-out season. Griffin is going to look for a speed burner who can stretch the field. He is used to that at Baylor. Armstrong won't be drawing double coverage with Moss and Garcon in the mix and could wind up earning a starting spot as the season unfolds.

I don't think Armstrong survives the first cuts.

I don't think Meriweather is any better then The Witness or The Achilles Heel. There's a good reason that Chicago dumped him without trying to bring him back. They still don't have a free safety that can cover. Williams is okay, but I don't think that he has the speed to cover a fast WR

moss used to be able to.. remains to be seen what he has left
garcon is physical and can stretch the field
hankerson has size, but not deep speed

Moss hasn't been fast since he started getting "therapy" from that doctor in Canada that the feds took down lol.

I see Armstrong, Banks and Austin all being cut.
I think the 5 I mentioned above are SURE bets to make the team and I think a guy like Lance Lewis could take the 6th spot if there is one.

absolutely correct.. but from all reports he took to heart Shanahan's demand that he get in the best shape of his life.. he is down about 15 pounds when I last heard anything.. if he is not fast, he might not make the team

Fine by me. I don't think that the difference between:
Garcon/Hankerson with Moss, Morgan and a young player
and
Garcon/Hankerson with Morgan, young player and a young player
is a net negative for the skins.
