Default Skinsfan36 Day 1 camp observations

I attended camp today in what felt like 120 degrees by the 2nd hr of Practice lol. It was probably about 99 though lol.
Anyway rg3 is very radiant and you can tell he will be a good leader. He has a bond with some of the receivers and rookies already, stayed after and tossed a few balls to Hightower. It was actually more like catch from 10 yds away. He has a lot of velocity on his passes without much effort. I did notice him throw a few passes toward the lower part of his receivers body rather then sailing them. Accurately btw not gopher killer Mcnabb like lol. He did have a few rookie moments like one pass he threw right at hall who jumped in front of a receiver easily only to remind us of one stone hands who Plays for the niners. Overall I was impressed. One other tidbit before I move on they had him running option type plays from the pistol which could really help this offense and give us a dimension we have never had.
RBs-darrell young has another gear after the catch I like to see him get a look or two every week. morris ran hard. royster got caught up in the line to much and was even tackled at one point.hightower was limping but ok. helu was the best back easily and made some quick moves.
wrs-beat writers covered these guys pretty well drops etc. aldrick robinson is quick and looks like a different player than last preseason,he also had a diving catch
tes-reliford seems athletic as advertised, cooley looked healthy for the first time in yrs. paul had some good plays but also had a few drops.
oline-williams,kory l looked good. anyone who played right tackle was pretty bad today.(we need to sign one now!)smith was 3rd string behind polumbus and hurt(idk why?).compton was playing like a rookie and playing to high as jenkins was abusing him. gettis i didnt see to much of.leribus overextended trying to block the nose and got beat.cook is just as awful as we saw from him last yr.
dline-jenkins was disruptive and hi leg brace makes his leg look bionic lol, scott seemed to have a good day.coefield looks to of added some weight.
linebackers-jackson got alot of pressure today but did jump offsides once or twice.kerrigan dmoinated polumbus and knocked down an rg3 pass.riley had a good day,on one play had perfect coverage on paul forcing him to the sideline and batting ball out of bounds(paul then dove and caught it out of bounds)
secondary-doughty is terrible as we know and fell on jones on one play lol, williams looked comforatble at fs and looked to be communicating well with the other dbs.hall was on the nearside sideline kneeled down by himself for a good ten mins(?).morris is a big trash talker and really gets on his DBS.griffin or crawford had a very nice pass breakup on the far side of the field.
sorry if this is to long. the skins practiced over two hrs and did about 4 sets of 11on11 sessions of 15 mins.if anyone has any questions on any other players i can try to answer them as best as possible.

Awesome stuff man, thank you very much. Can you elaborate a little more about T. Williams and F. Davis? Did you see something else? Honestly, if you could take out all the hype about RG3, which would be your opinion on him based purely on what you saw today?

Davis looked fine didn't have any drops. Didn't make any spectacular plays either. Actually asked him after practice about a long term deal "I just have to keep working hard" was his response. Williams was going against orakpo and was beaten maybe once. He was very quick at his recovery on one play with his feet as we have seen when he's been dominant.
I will add lance Lewis attacks The ball when it is in the air rather then letting it come to him. Someone behind me thought he was Fred Davis because he is wearing 86 and has some decent size.
As for evaluating rg3 without the hype. He has a strong arm and can fit balls into places Rex thinks he can lol. When he runs out of the pocket he did run out of bounds. His burst on bootlegs is noticeably very quick even for practice.he doesn't have to try to throw hard like say a Ramsey or brunell did.i will say when he rolls to his left he needs to do a better job of setting his feet before throwing down field. He also threw across his body across the field both inaccurate but one was to banks who isnt much of a target so he was throwing it low for a reason.

Nice to hear about Lance Lewis.

Still thinking he makes the squad over Armstrong.

Just look what he did to Stephon Gilmore last year. How he adjusts to the ball is something that this team has lacked for years. And he runs a beautiful fade route.

Very possible. I've never gotten the impression Shanahan is much of an Armstrong fan.
