I'm a little surprised you haven't changed because of the addition of talent at the QB position and the depth at oline as you mentioned in another thread.
I must admit I find these threads entertaining.

Mildly approve. The OL situation is disappointing to say the least.

I can't believe you have not been paying attention to all the hype... You should probably reconsider yourself as a fan.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Michigan State.
Lol...

From my perspective, I think Shanny and the front office are doing everything they can to field the best team possible in spite of a $36 million cap penalty over the next 2 years. I have no doubt they would have acquired more talent in key positions, but this team is playing with one hand tied behind its back.
The key will be how we play in spite of the cap penalties. Injuries are part of the game, and every team will face their share of them. How we play the hand that is dealt us will be the key to my perception of Shanny's approval rating. For right now, I think he's doing great - and I am much more comfortable with him this year at the start of training camp.

I was planning on doing one at start of free agency, draft, and start of training camp but I decided that was too much and nixed the first one as truly nothing could have happened between off season and start of free agency.
And though there has been nothing since the Draft there could have been. We could have signed more OL or better reserves. I do think it is a particular weakness of our team and this weeks injuries are proving that to be so.

So there's no confusion, I'm not criticizing your polls at all. You are sticking to a schedule and that makes sense to me.
Mike seemed confused I wasn't changing my opinions based on the addition of Griff, and I think it's because he was under the impression this is the first poll since the draft.

I dont see much of a sea change happening until about week 10 of the reg season, hope springs eternal in Redskin nation in training camp (even in me)...there may be some worry come preseason games but most will chalk it up to Shanny holding back or RGII growing pains (and so will I), but about week 10 the bgye week we will know what we got. Which is a long way away.
IMO we open the season pretty soft, a depleted and demoralized Saints squad, St. Louis, Cincy, and Tampa are all teams we could beat or at least should compete against. Atlanta will be tough but then we have another pretty bad team in Minnesota. Back to Back tough games with Giants and Steelers will be tough and we will probably lose both. Then we got Carolina which is a bad team on the upswing, kinda like us. then the Bye.
After the bye if I wanted to be fair only one team, Cleveland, is as bad as us, the rest we will be major underdogs in all the way.
So if we are not holding our own going into the bye week, if we arent 5-4 its going to be a long long season

Basically agree, although we both know every season the schedule looks much different in July than it does in September/October. QBs get hurt, teams under/over achieve, etc.
It does look like there are 5 or 6 winnable games before the bye.

And that's when it gets interesting. If RGIII gets up to speed during the first nine weeks and remains healthy, he just might be able to do some damage in the NFC East. We all have roughly the same schedules, and I think the NFC East will be pretty banged up going into the last 7 games, and he might be able to pull out some unexpected wins in the division.
Not saying this is going to happen, but I wouldn't rule it out of the realm of possibility.

Things Shanahan did I do not like:
1. Grossly misread the 2010 roster to think he could "win now".
2. Terrible trades for older players (McNabb, Brown).
3. Did not take rebuilding seriously and basically wasted the entire year of 2010.
Things Shanahan did I do like:
1. Did not "give in" to ahole Fat Albert, and thereby changed the "country club" culture of the team.
2. Realized his mistake and was not afraid to admit it by benching McNabb and then trading him to start the rebuilding program in earnest in 2011.
3. Refrained from drafting Blaine Gabbert, when many thought he was the franchise QB for this team.
4. Had the guts to go "all in" to acquire RG3.
5. Had a good draft in 2011 and appears to have had another reasonably good draft in 2012.
6. Went after moderately-priced productive free agents instead of over-rated big names.
7. Has managed the cap reasonably well despite the 36-mil penalty the NFL unjustifiably placed on the team.
On balance, I think Shanahan has had more pluses than minuses. In any event, I think it to be important to keep him for the sake of continuity. The constant change of head coaches/regimes had contributed to the lack of success the last two decades.

I can't disagree with anything you've said. I would add on the negative side that Shanahan (probably with some help) poorly mismanaged the demotions of McNabb and Hayneworth. They may have been able to get more than they did for them if things were handled differently.
On the positive side, He's generally changed the mindset of the organization. The team is now generally populated with reasonable intelligent, (Fred Davis excepted) highly motivated, competitive players, who have the knowledge that they actually have to win there job over other talented players.
Are there still holes? No doubt, but there are a lot less holes ( and A-holes) then there was two years ago and I'm encouraged by the overall direction of the team. I think if the skill that has been shown in the last two drafts and free agency periods continues the Redskins will be a serious team to be dealt with in 2013 and beyond.
People have scoffed at me when I said that Mara and the Giants were worried about the Redskins. I still believe that is true. Considering the 36 million dollar cap hit, it will just take a year or two longer to be at least serious competition for the Giants.
I'm at mildly approve, only because the results that I expect over the next two years, have yet to happen. I envision things only getting better for several years.

Mild approve as I have to admit I've been swept upon the RG3 hysteria and Mike helped bring him here...
