I've been offline for the past couple of days, but reading the news, it appears to be the other way around. Conte had cut a deal with Palazzi, who is the federal prosecutor, for 3 months, but the deal was rejected by the judges, who think 3 months+200k euros is not a sufficient penalty.
This could get interesting.
They want a stiffer fine. Pepe and Bonucci rejected the pleas and are going trial. The Juve fans aren't upset or anything(from outside the court):
The word in Turin is that Prandelli will take over for Conte for any ban.

Yep, I'm peeling like a mofo also. It wasn't that bad in the first half, then turned into a blast furnace.

Conte's lawyers have filed a motion to replace the judges(with the support of the prosecutors). If it fails, they're going to trial without a plea.
One thing is certain....Italy's sports justice system, and specifically federal prosecutor Stefano Palazzi, have once again covered themselves with ridicule.
When the scandal broke out, everybody was calling for heads to roll. Then when things started to cool off, people started talking about cutting deals, and now finally pathetic deals are actually being made (see Conte's 3 months, the first being August, when the initial stance was that no deal could be made for less than one third of the maximum penalty) and then, obviously, rejected by the judjes for what they are: crap.

There were a lot of players and coaches who were rightfully were cleared or punished. In Conte's case, there's only one accuser and the accuser kept changing his story about which match was fixed and what Conte said(especially after no one else in the Siena locker room heard what he claims Conte said). They should have dismissed the case and apologized to Conte.

Bonucci and Pepe were acquitted of their charges, Conte found guilty and given a 10 month ban but it will be reduced to 4 after appeal.
In other Juve news, RvP and Arsenal have both agreed to terms with both Juve and ManU(same price, same salary). It'll be up to RvP to decide where to go.

In other PSG news, Lucas Moura declined ManU to sign with PSG in January. Another 40m € transfer...
Thankfully, financial fairplay will arrive in 2013/2014...

Is any of this official? The Bonucci and Pepe acquittals are rumored, as Conte's 10 months, but I haven't read anything about 4 months nor of Juve agreeing to anything with Arsenal (it would be pretty big news, so I imagine one of the big media outlets here would have mentioned it).
Edit: Bonucci, Pepe, and Conte's 10 months are officially confirmed. It's going to be interesting to see what Juve does now with Conte.

Can't believe the Gooners would sell him to a rival PL side. Still, having RVP at OT is likely to halt the progress of Welbeck and Hernandez...

Everyone and their mother is reporting that it'll be knocked down to 4 months after appeal. Gotta love italian "justice" lol.
And Conte is staying. He'll probably be still "coaching" via text message throughout his "suspension" lol.
As for RvP, he's staying at Arsenal apparently. Both ManU and Juve are moving on to other targets.

The world's third best team are about to kick off.
England v Italy also about to start.
Dunno why, but everytime I see footage of Woy and his back-room staff with the England squad, I can't help but think of the film Mike Bassett England Manager*...
Liverpool got Nuri Sahin on a Loan+Op to buy. Great move.
Also rumours of Cristian Tello heading into Anfield too. In other news, Arsene Wenger reaffirms his position as the PL's biggest knob - apparently ManU just agreed a £24m deal for RVP.

Apparently RvP was set to stay, but something happened in the last 24 hours where RvP told upper management that he would never speak to Wenger again. The best part of this move is that ManU players trolling Piers Morgan on twitter.
