remember that defensive end we took a few years ago, from miami. he's gone now. casserly picked him. i was sitting there with the list of the top rated ends, he wasnt even on it, not even in the top 10, we took him at 14. ranked right up there with desmond, heath, westbrook, the list goes on. i like the idea signing proven veterans and trading down.

I liked Kenard Lang, but I didn't, and still don't like the fact that Trevor Pryce of the Broncos was available when we drafted Lang.

oh yea kenard lang, thats it, i'm just saying 14 was way too high to take him. thinking udeze or the next best guy will be there between 10 and 15. still wondering if the skins might surprise everyone and take a receiver. just so they never ever take a guy who has the postons as their agent.

If he's raw, then he is unproven. Who knows about his weight? Maybe he can't keep it down. In a nutshell I was trying to say that this guy has been around for a while, but just b/c he has one of the standout years on the Championship team and now has special written next to him, doesn't mean he's ready to ball in the NFL.

Nothing anyone does in college means they're ready to ball in the NFL. He's not a Julius Peppers type prospect but not many people are. However, he's very strong (even though he didn't bench too much but workouts don't mean much) quick and built like a rock. Again, he could turn in to Hugh Douglas in his prime.

Not meant to offend, but put player in perspective.
That makes absolutely no sense to me.

julius peppers reminded me of ebenezer ekuban, i didnt really think he'd be all that great. but you never know, thats the thing, you never know with draft picks, and if there are obvious doubts then you really really dont know. sign a veteran or trade down.

Some are more prepared than others, because he had only one good year raises some questions, particularly because his team was so good. There is a strong chance he will be a goo player, but not for us. IMO a player who is raw like that doesn't need to "develop" at the pro level on a team that desperately needs his position. That to me is to big of a risk when there are other places that could be addressed with more security.

Picking him is like ordering something we know little about.

you are smoking crack if you think that udeze will be defensive ROY
that honor will be reserved for SEAN TAYLOR!!
