Virginia baseball officials remain confident that Major League Baseball will indeed relocate the Montreal Expos next year and that Northern Virginia is the best market of the three being considered.

Also at last week's luncheon, former Washington Redskins teammates Charles Mann and Art Monk were introduced as partners in the investors' group.

Enjoy :!:

When the Expos move to DC/NOVA I'll be transferring my allegiance from the Chisox to the new team!

I hear ya bfauble. I have already quit following MLB until the NVa. or DC area receives a team. I use to be a O's fan until Angelos ruined them.

I saw this on the news last week, Art Monk looked dapper as usual.
Sorry, but I will always be an O's fan.
Learned to whistle like a long shoreman when Palmer was on the mound.
Someday...someday...

I never watch Baseball...but I sure as hell will start once the EXPOs come to VA/DC.
Screw Angelos! He couldn't even win with an All-Star roster a few years ago...why should the area support him now that he has a bunch of no-names playing for them. I typically go to one Orioles game a year...just to soak the enjoyment of goign to that beautiful stadium. But I won't miss it at all if we get a local team.
BTW - The EXPOs are not a bad team. THey have some decent players on their roster who can make an immediate impact once moving to VA/DC. Guerrero, Wilkerson, Cabrera and Vidro are all pretty big names who are all hitting over .300!

Yeah! Decent enough. But I'd have a time switching from the Braves! More air time than any team. I may not watch but 20 games or parts thereof each year on TV, but they are a good team, and the Pennant race runs all BB year long!

Since its an NL team, I guess you Braves fans will have a chance to see your team play more live games.
