Vikings no longer interested in Gardner.
According to the Star Tribune .
I have a feeling he plays for us another year.

They must have seen the real game tapes of Rod. Even if they dont deal him, he's gone. He hasnt been invited to the workouts at all; his role on this team would be as the 4th or 5th wideout(V or W) and cutting him would save 2 million dollars.

if he is flat out released...what a waste.

I wonder if they plan on trading up to ensure they get either Williams or Edwadrs.................1 of them will surely be wearing Purple this year.
for the record I'm ok with playing Gardner this year

Yeah - I forgot about that minor detail. You guys are probably correct. We end up cutting him and some team signs him for much less then he feels he deserves.
Poor guy.

Watch Gardner to either be a 4th round pick as all the WR talent will Dry up by the end of the 3rd and someone will need one. OR he will be cut before camp if we have no suitors.

I always said that the Gardner trade would happen close to or during the draft (just a feeling), but now I don't think there is a great market for him b/c teams know we'll release him. I wouldn't be surprised if the framework for a deal is in place with a team for the dayy he is released.

A bag of black Jelly Beans and Fruit Cake might be fair for Gardner.
