I've read several accounts that on the play Griffin got hurt, he missed a wide open Morgan in the end zone. That play was all on Griffin.

Interesting article in today's WaPo. RGIII's stats reveal that his accuracy increases with more pressure.

Can anyone find a clip of the 4th and 10 conversion?

"Watching this game, I kept thinking how glad I was that Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen paid whatever it is they paid to deal for Griffin. And whatever it is, it'll be worth it. He's one of the great, special players to come into the league in the 29 seasons I've covered it. No play's ever over ... Once he gets the kind of protection Shanahan and Allen will build for him, he'll be better, and the Redskins will be competing for championships. That's right plural."

From the Examiner:

In the last four minutes of a game, Griffin has completed 19-of-25 passes for 211 yards and a touchdown. He’s also run nine times for 166 yards and two touchdowns. His passer rating in the final four minutes: 113.91. The Redskins have scored 17 points on those drives (including the game-winning field goal vs. Tampa Bay).

Psyched about this. For once, instead of saying, "The Skins will find a way to make this final drive fail.", we might actually have a real answer.

This was my biggest complaint with JC. He was solid quarterback who did some things well, but it just seemed like he'd always find a way not to get us into position for the game-winning FG/TD. Time after time he'd throw a pick, fumble or otherwise fail on fourth down in a situation where the game was on the line. And it's those games which are the difference between 10-6 and 6-10.
It's a trait that goes beyond talent or coaching, either you've got it or you don't. To this point it looks like Griffin's got it.

JC was a decent QB,but he just did not have the heart to be a great qb,in my view.Griffin wants to win at all costs, and i have'nt seen that in a redskins qb in a long time!

JC was like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. He was much more comfortable and effective in the shotgun, but was forced to play under center with a horrible offensive line. Defensive ends were meeting him on 3 step drops and he got murdered on the field. IMO, he was a victim of inflexible coaching and a very poor surrounding cast.
