Default Ze Redskins Facebook Group

I joined this group because some of the members lived in New York near me. They apparently created a rule that the members must put some form of "redskins" or "skins" in your name in order to remain in the group. They contacted me and I told them 1) I can't because I use facebook for marketing at work and 2) I wouldn't do it anyways. They apparently think you need to call yourself something stupid like "Johnny Hail2bng Johnson" in order to prove you're a real fan. I let them know I have had season tickets for 25 years and have attended 95% of the games since the 80's. They removed me from the group. I decided I would call them out here and in a few other places so they can see what a real Redskins fan looks like.

Sorry, but if any of you have changed your name Facebook to something that isn't your name, you're a tool. If you have something to be more discreet, that is one thing. But if you think it makes you a big fan of a team or you think your name is funny, you're wrong.

After seeing a few of the conversations, it looks like Ze Redskins (that name should have been a clue) is a Facebook version of ES. An example is a group of them who were pining for bringing Portis back. Yes, they wanted Portis back. I probably should have deleted myself after reading that.

No way would I add "Redskins" to my name on facebook. Unless I had two accounts. One for friends and one for Redskin fans. Which I wouldn't either.

Sounds stupid.

To each its own

Reminds of that guy that came here wanting us to post youtube videos against rival teams and he got really upset when no one did it.

They're trying to paint themselves as some great group of Redskins fans and then they ban people who are too mature to make their name something goofy. I doubt many post here since, like I said, they are more like your average ES poster.

I didn't do it either. It't not a Redskins site, just a group...pretty ridiculous.

I have zero issue if someone wants to do it, but like hell if I am.

I had eight friends in the group and the only one left is Zema Williams who, ironically enough, doesn't have anything Redskins related in his name. It would take quite a pair to delete Chief Zee though. Another friend who uses his facebook for work also told him he can't and won't change his name.

I just counted 46 people who haven't put some turdish Redskins thing in their name. Most of them were invited by the guy who started the group who actually lives out where I am house hunting. I was glad to know there were other fan near me but now I realize they're not worth my time. Pretty sad that our fans can't be less like Cowboys fans outside of D.C.

I'm not in this group, but I get invitations to stuff for them, I guess I must have a friend in there somewhere.

Well don't join. They will claim to be a great family of Redskins fans and then remove you from the group if you don't have something silly in your name.
