Yeah he had 6 sacks last year in about 9 or 10 games. I'm not worried about his injury or whatever, cuz he's better than Daniels, Upshaw, and Wynn. We need this guy and I think our D-Line will be complete (I still think Noble deserves a shot).

Much Improved? Yeah, but COMPLETE???? I still say think there would be a void to fill at DT (if we sign Holmes), and I am not a fan of starting Phillip Daniels, either.

Better stats than any of our ends over the past two years. would be a good pickup. Still need to draft a DL in myopinion as well.

We can get away with having so-so DEs if we get another good DT.

Holmes completed his physical at Redskin Park yesterday and was not immediately offered a contract. That should tell you something.

No contract for Holmes is being offered ......... Brown and Harris are signed .................. Something tells me we are beefing up our D-backfield because it appears they will be VERY busy this season. ......... Hmmmmmmmmm.

A blurb in the post said that they were waiting on seeing how some injury rehab went before they offered him a contract. He's not expected to sign anywhere soon and we want to see how he progresses.

Holmes has decent sack numbers because he plays opposite Stahan. He has not been offered a contract. How many who have visited Redskin park went away without an offer?????????? That says a lot. IMHO I don't see him as an upgrade of any significance.
It may mean there are issues with his physical, his play OR
The draft-down option for a DE is being considered OR
the option to go after Ogunleye (Miami RFA) after the draft is still being considered.....
It all shows me that there are some real sophistication and brains going into some of these FA decisions.

He would be an upgrade over the guys we have right now, that doesn't say much but if he is healthy I think it would be a move in the right direction.

He's not going anywhere, he's a risk because he's not healthy, he may get cheaper and we may not need him if they draft a top DE.
They will wait a month at least..... he's a guy to consider if your options are very limited

Kenny Holmes is a near carbon copy of Kenard Lang, IMO. I wasn't upset to see him go. Kenny Holmes played with Jevon Kearse and Michael Strahan. Who do you think was double teamed in those games? Quite frankly I am shocked that he didn't have higher sack numbers than he did.
He is not appreciably better than Upshaw. So why would we want to spend the money to get the same talent when we could save the money and build for the future by drafting Udeze or the Fresh Prince?
