thrash back in DC?????
i live in philadelphia, and i was ridding home listening to the crappy sports radio here and they are claiming that the eagles are going to trade james thrash to the redskins for a 6th round pick
if this happens does them mean that we are getting rid of one of our wideouts?
Are we going to trade rod gardner?
or is McCants going to be allowed to sign elsewhere?

Probably WIP BS...Supposedly Gibbs liked Jacobs in mini-camp -- so with Jacobs, Coles, DMac, and Gardner, why would you trade that 6th rounder for Thrash? Wishful thinking on the Philly's part. Tell Howard Eskin to shut up.

Why give the Iggles a draft pick when Thrash is going to be trashed by the team after June 1???? Wait for him to be discarded and free if they want him. Only they don't...............
Another wishful rumor from someone else who think the Redskins are made of money or draft picks.......................
See similiar threads from Seattle and GB fans........

This is one rumor that absolutely makes no sense... and I also live near Philly... trust me... the Eagles are so scared of Gibbs right now that they are saying EVERYTHING! (I guess breaking the bank for Kearse and TO isnt enough to help them sleep at night).

Yeah, lots of crazy rumors - just shows there is not much left to talk about before the draft. So people just start to conjuring up nutty ideas like this.............................
I want to see Donovan running for his life with Udeze or Harris chasing him down at 4.7 [40] speed!!
HAIL!

Thrash was alrite w/ us.. he was alrite w/ the Green Beaks.. but his best days are behind him.. he never had breakaway speed or the moves.. and I remember his last season w/ Norv when he caught that ball vs. the Giants but was overruled by replay and we lost w/ sorry J. George who got benched for B. Johnson and our season gone kaput. bad memories.. no need to relive it.

I hope that isn't true. We don't need Thrash or any other recievers. As it is now we need to trade one to make roster room for our younger players. With Coles, Gardner, and McCants solid in the 1, 2, and 3 reciever roles. We still have Jacobs who is developing along with young talented players such as Cloman and Russell.
I also question whether the Eagles would want to trade Thrash within the division.

Why not? That goes on all the time in the league. This only works if we get him without a signing bonus though. I would rather not have him myself.......

Don't really understand that logic. Did you think Art Monk was the enemy when he played for Arizona? Did you think that Brian Mitchell was the enemy for going to Philly and NY?
Of course not (well I hope not at least) moving between teams happens all the time.
Personally I like Thrash while he was here, that said he's only a third receiver....and we already have 3 good receivers.

The Post is now reporting it as well. It would be for a 2005 5th round pick.
