Default Sean Taylor IS the Redskins Franchise Player

I had an epiphany today and the fact is we don't really need more picks. More great D-linemen will come along in the draft next year. Who all thinks that when we pick up Taylor we will be picking up our next franchise player... Can he measure up to RONNIE LOTT?

Who are these great defensive forces that you are referring to? Any names?

Wilfork will be as good as Washington (who isn't amazing but does his job of getting in the way), Smith will be as good as Kearse, and Harris might come close to oh say maybe Sapp. Some say this my be a stretch but I don't believe so, new generations of talent continually come and ability is always stretched to its' limit. The "Fitz" is the example this year. Maybe next year it will be another defensive star that changes the positions definition.

Did anyone see that hit taylor put on P.k sam on espn this afternoon. He nocked that fool naked. I'd love to see him do that to TO. And that no talent ass clown keyshawn. I guarentee he puts a hurting on someone.

Not only did he punish that guy he also showed great foot movement for a huge guy like he is. And i think they said he has the ability to cover a reciever at cb if needed. Could you imagine a 6.3 230 lb Cb, thats freaking discusting. God i love miami.

I'm sure it's already been said elsewhere, but we've got playmakers on offense with Coles and Portis. We really need one on defense to go with Arrington. Taylor is the only one who fits into that category. Winslow would be a great pick also, but I think we have to draft for need, and the need is for an impact defensive player on defense...that's Taylor.

I hope the FO doesn't go offense - we've put our top picks over the last few years in the O, the defenses needs some love too!!! Let's review: Gardner, Ramsey, Jacobs, Coles, Portis, Betts ... that's 3 years worth of top picks spent on Offense, no wonder why our D-Line is in shambles.

I was going to jump on the Udeze bandwagon, but today I read an article saying that he may need surgery before this year! Let's get the best player available whenever we draft (whether it's Taylor at #5 or Harris via a trade down).

ESPN mock draft has top 5 choices of: Manning, Gallery, Fitz, Ben Roth, Winslow (even w/ Taylor still available!!!).

Not a good choice!!!

UMMM....... I don't care what ESPN says because everyone else has Taylor as the best pick in the draft. Also those five names you looked at were all offensive maybe your looking at an offensive draft board not an overall one.

I don't see any D player going before Sean Taylor. A lot of people are saying KWII, so it doesn't scares me anymore.
