Default Payton signs with Titans

Saw on the bottom line that Jarrett Payton was signed to a FA deal with Tennessee. Not really a big signing, I'm sure he'll be practice squad fodder, but I admired his father very much and from what I've seen and heard Jarrett has all those same qualities which made his father such a genuinely remarkable person. I wish him the best of luck. Who knows, maybe if Tenn. releases Eddie George they'll find a roster spot for him.

He could catch on, but I think at this point he is getting a shot based on his name and not necessarily his abilities.

He's a project player, and I hope he does well.

I think Payton will end up being a good #2. He's had a lot of freak njuries that have kept him from playing and developing. One year he cut his foot open on a piece of coral in the ocean. The infection kept him out all year I think. When I have seen him though, I am fairly impressed. I hope he does well.

They also signed QB Rob Kent. Kent and Payton both remind me of McNair and George. I think the Titans just found some future replacements without drafting either!

What's Kent's story? I know I've heard of him before. I hope I'm not about to feel like a jackass.

Who is Rob Kent? Clark's brother?

QB for Jackson State. He's a beast but he was from a small school so now one drafted him.
