What about Kenny Holmes? I know he is older and on the down side, but if he is cheap and we do not get anyone else he coulde fill in for the year, could he not?

He has 8.5 sacks over the last two years. I know it might not be an upgrade or a solution but for a year it might not be bad.

i thought they talked to him before. wasnt he injured or something? they could always ask griffin and barrow what he is like as a team mate.

they talked to him but If I'm not mistaken he didn't pass the physical exam.

Him and Brackens have injury problems, looks like that is probably what's holding up any deals. That and the fact that both are on the downside of their careers. Brackens has the same microfracture injury that TD had, not sure what Holmes' problem is. Two years back Holmes had a nice second half if I remember correctly. What bothers me about Holmes is that he played end opposite Strahan and still couldn't put up above-average numbers. Bruce Smith in his twilight made Marco Coleman look like Deacon Jones. In a season Strahan had 22 Holmes couldn't have had more than 6 sacks.

Yeah, not much out there...It sounds like the Jags will be keeping Hugh Douglas; I guess maybe if they had drafted Udeze or Will Smith they would might have cut him although they probably would have taken a big cap hit...It's basically Russian Roulette with injured players...Joe Johnson, Kenny Holmes, or go with what's here.

Hugh Douglas would be a nice addition as long as he isn't too expensive.

I seem to remember something that even though he had failed the exam he was nursing an injury and they told him they would monitor his progress and decide something later in the offseason. The time to find good DLine help better than what we have is all but gone.

Joe Johnson had a pot charge, I don't remember hearing Holmes had one, but he may have also...

It was someone from the Giants defense, maybe a year or so ago. I thought that they caught in New Jersey with a large amount of something after a traffic stop.

EDIT: I just found the answer. It was Keith Hamilton in May of 2003, not Holmes.
