Default Moron Apologizes for Tillman Rant...sorta

Remember the story about the grad student at UMass who said Tillman "got what was coming to him"? Apparently he's indirectly apologized to Tillman's family in an e-mail to Boston's WBZ-TV. But if you read his comments in this article, he still sounds like a misguided dork ("patriotic 'knee-jerk' hero worship").

Gonzalez says column 'not worth publishing'

He ought to be booted from the UMass graduate program. Even the university president calls him "intellectually immature."

I couldn't support expelling a student for simply expressing his or her opinion, regardless of how silly that opinion might be.

Yeah, something about freedom of speech?

what's 'knee-jerk' is the tendency of someone somewhere, usu attention seekers, to advocate for the devil whenever a large percentage of the population gets behind something. at least this guy isn't too old to learn a good lesson from the fedback he's getting

Merriam-Websters Definition of Hero: "One that is much admired or shows great courage"

Now...tell me what part of that Pat Tillman didn't emulate?

Gonzalez has a right to say what he wants, he shouldn't be suspended for it...but we have a right to say he was wrong!

Okay, okay, freedom of speech and all that. Good point. Maybe he just needs a whuppin, like TexSkin said!

(But how can you confer a graduate degree on someone who has been deemed intellectually immature? )
