Trung as WR?
If Trung is so fast why hasn't he played as a WR? I don't remeber him dropping many balls, but I don't remember him catching many either. I seem to have almost completely forgot last season. Gibbs has had that effect on me.
Anybody have any thoughts about Trung as WR, not that we need anymore WR. I was just wondering. Don't flame me to much either just a question.

Interesting question. Is he too short? That was the first thing that popped into my mind.

That was the first thing that popped into my mind as well.
Gibbs could create a formation called RacerX where we have nothing but speed at the WR and running back positions. This would be a formation for 1st down play action and some obvious passing downs.

We're jammed there anyways ... wouldn't have any room for someone just learning the ropes at that competative a position. He doesn't have a receivers build either.

Trung was a KR for the Rams also. i think WRs and RBs are naturals at their position and would be tough to convert over. WRs are more quick off their feet and can gain full speed after a few yards while most RBs take more time. even M. Faulk catching passes u can tell he still runs like a RB and not a WR.. WRs catch passes on the fly and seamlessly blaze by while a RB always seem to take a couple strides b4 they hit full speed. they run differently.. probably been taught to run a certain way.. WRs are faster by nature and RBs are more physically built to sustain constant hits by DL and LBs. i dunno.. Tomlinson got a 100 catches last year and Portis is as explosive as any WR so i guess it depends on the system and how they're utilized.

at Rb you can use him to run a few screens or short passes out of the backfield...........but as a WR he is vertictly challanged

or we could just cut him and let some other team waste money on him. we have what we need on offense, trung is gone.

Good question, but I don't see them converting him to WR. Right now we have too many RBs so his only chance to stick with the team is on ST (but with the addition of Trash and hopefully we keep Morton it doesn't look good). I hope he performs well in training camp, but I'd hate to see him stay over someone like Betts.

i could see him him go in motion from the backfield and line up out wide somewhere to cause a matchup problem with his speed.

They did not use him correctly last year, IMO. He could be effective on screen passes and pitch outs.

I was thinking Waterboy, Burger Gopher or General Lackey were the best positions for Trung on this team.

Trung wasn't so bad last year, but the system was. I don't think he could've been a valuable WR, cause he's a molded RB. But as others said, he could have been more usefull on screen passes and pitchouts, and maybe he could've been a decent decoy if sometimes lined up in a slot position.
