Default Possible TH Trade

I am a Clifton Smith fan but how about this trade.

Washington Sends:

QB Tim Hasselback

New York Sends:

MLB Victor Hobson and 5th rd pick.

Victor Hobson is the Jets 2nd rd pick in 03 and was a tackling machine at Michigan. He is 6'1" 254lbs. and played fairly well last year {56 Tackles/2 sacks/1 int} but with the drafting of Vilma and Abraham moving back to LB in the 3-4 things might become packed at the LB spot.

We could use a MLB of the fututre unless people are sold on Cliff Smith.

No he doesn't. He's a undrafted QB who can't play descent against third stringers.

Any trade value will be 5th round pick or lower or possibly a late 4th. Thats it....

I love this trade. Hasslebeck would be a natural for the Jets and Hobson would be a welcome addition to our LB corps. We need someone with his measearables because we don't have a plain, old fashion MLB like him.

Exactly, there is no way a deal like this could ever happen.

AMEN!!!

I just don't get the mystique about Hass. He's got good work ethic, but no tools. Just because he can stand in the pocket without looking scared, doesn't make him a great QB.

If he was worth something, he would have cost us something. The fact that he's been cut by so many teams should tell us something.
