UVA Football Thread...
And now...your....20th ranked University of Virginia Cavaliers!
UVA destroyed Temple in Philadelphia this past weekend 44 to 14. The Cavs ran the ball 57 times for an amazing 286 yards and 4 TDs. Standout RB, Wali Lundy grabed over 100 and 3 TDs in the romp. UVA Qb Marques Hagans connected on over 77% of his passes for over 200 yards and 1 TD.
Next up? UVA hosts the Tar Heels in Charlottesville this Saturday. The Tar Heels gave up 38 points to William & Mary last week, so this should be easy for the Wahoos.

I hope it's easy. I'm not ready to take UNC lightly, because like I told CarMike, W&M traditionally has a great team, and they play the big boys toe to toe with alot of heart.
Hagans is the key. If we can get consistent play from him this year, this could be a wonderful season.

UVA has to figure out how to get amhad brroks the ball at all times. I bet he could run for 1500 yards if he lined up in the backfield. They are my sleeper national champion.

I'm not just saying this...but I see UVA winning this in a shootout. UNCs offense is pretty good this year.
Its our defense thats still light years behind. And the dissapointing thing in that is that Coach Bunting is a defensive type of guy. Played LBer at UNC in the early 70s and played LBer for the Eagles.
I wouldn't be surprised if the score is 50 something [UVA] to 30 something. [UNC]

UVA dismantled the Tar Heels last week...and ended up climbing the AP rankings to 12th in the Nation behind ACC competitors Florida State and Miami.
The Wahoos unleashed their running attack again for 7 (yes 7) rushing touchdowns...3 coming from Lundi. The wierd part was that UVA's top TE (and the nation's top TE prospect for the pros) played without a single catch.
Next up? A soft Akron team. It should be a blow out.

actually akron might be a closer then you think, but uva should beat them. Akron as a pretty good qb who can put points on the board against the young d-backs, but uva is still going to win by at least 14 pts.

Good solid win. You have to beat teams like this convincingly, and they did so.

Now why did VA have to be great the year Miami joins the ACC and has to play them on the road?? Unfair! Seriously, this team looks really good. I thought there would be a cooling-off period after Schaub's departure.

UVA continues their winning streak by dominating Akron 51-0. They currently sit atop of the ACC standings and have solidified the nation's top 12 ranking.
Walli Lundy scored 3 rushing TDs for the third consecutive week. He now leads the country in points scored. (FYI: He leads the 2nd place guy by 15 points.)
The Cavs take on 2-1 Syracuse next weekend in Charlottesville. Look for the Cav's Defense to try and take over the game early. Syracuse may give them help, as they already have given up 5 INTS to their ONE passing TD.
I'm predicting another big blowout. The early line has UVA as a 24 point favorite. Should be a fun game to watch if you are a fan of the "right" blue and orange team.

I just don't see us beating Syracuse that badly. I hope we do, but I have an uneasiness about this game for some reason.

I know what you mean it's like last week when the Skins went to NY. Syracuse has always had Va. # . In b-ball and football....GO Wahoos.
