Initial Thoughts on our Next Opponents - the Giants
Just finished watching the Eagles - Giants blowout. My thoughts on the next game against the Giants:
All I can think is that we better win this game. Giants were just not impressive at all - especially on defense. However, it will not be a gimme. Brunnell is not playing anywhere near the level of McKnabb. So it could be a closer and tougher game than the Iggles had.
I don't think the defense will have too much problem with Warner, as long as they keep pressuring him. Tiki Barber has done well against us in the past.

My thoughts: The Giants have no D-line, no O-line, no heart, no secondary and inconsistant QB play. The Skins should be able to destroy them by 20+ points.

This is a game that we SHOULD win. I also have the feeling that our vertical
game will be featured significantly more...against the Giants D.

This is what is classified as a "trap" game. Obviously we want Dallas in two weeks so it will be a test for us to match the intensity that we showed against Tampa Bay and you gotta believe that the Giants will be out to prove they aren't as bad as they showed against Philly. We SHOULD beat them handily but I'm just hoping we can put together back to back good performances (something we haven't done it quit some time).

No blow out needed here, just focus, play smart football and take the game. Remember sandwich games (Dallas in 2 weeks) can be tough.

Good point. I was wondering if the Giant players would quickly tire of the sour and tough "Colonel Coach" act. Marty Schottenhiemer tried the tough guy act here a few years and the team revolted for a few weeks of loses (initially).
You can do the 'boot camp' act, as a coach if you win. If you start losing, professional players may not go along.
All this plays into the Redskins hands. We definetly need to win games like this coming up.

that was a different team. This team is a shadow of what they were from last year, and they only won 4 games! The only thing they really have is Tiki & Shockey, but with no O-line it's hard to do much on offense. Outside of Strahan, they don't have much on defense. The Skins, if they play their game and dont make mistakes, should whup em.

We've got to win games like the Giants; because teams such as the Eagles are going to be very tough to beat........
I think the Giants will be lucky to win more than 5 this year. They looked good no where on the field.

I didn't watch the Giants play, I hope they are as bad as you say.
Richmonds fox showed the cowpukes getting thier butts handed to them. That was fun to watch.

I had to drive to Columbia and back, so I got to hear most of the game. The Giants sounded woeful. Did anyone see the hit on Eli at the end? wow.

I watched the Eagles Giants game, and I was not impressed in the least. The Giants came out strong and scored on their first posession, but after that they just played VERY sloppy ball. I know that we will not be playing the same team that was on the field vs. the eagles, because if we do, than the Giants are going to have the worst season ever in the history of the national football league.

The massive hit on Eli was pretty awesome; especially since he didn't see the guy coming.
Can you say "Welcome to the NFL?"
I'd like our own LaVar to be helping Warner or Manning off the ground next week and say "hi - my name is Mr. Arrington - the other guy who helped crush you is called Mr Taylor"; we'll be seeing you again".

Lunchtime for our sharks on defense. Warner is already having nightmares.
