Did I see that correctly?
Last night while I was watching the football game, I noticed a basket ball score scroll by.
I think it read, Virginia 78....#11 Arizona 60.
rskinsfan10 or dj stout, care to clear this up for me? It was a mens game right? Not a womens game?
If so, big congrats on a fine win! Very impressive!

LOL...I have no answer. This team was supposed to compete with the bottom half of the ACC. This win should push them up a notch, but I'm still skeptical.
This freshman kid, Singletary, seems to be a great pickup.

I wasn't going to mention this win at all actually.
Now that we are talking about it though.....

Singletary is a Diaper Dandy. UVA picked him up and let Marquis Cooke to go to Va Tech...Cooke is a local boy from Hampton Roads, Va. He will be special too...

Special as in good or special as in retarded. If hes going to Tech for basketball, something isnt right with him.

Special as in good Roanoke...Cooke had already made a verbal commitment to UVA, but UVA kept up their pursuit of Singletary and got him to come here from PA. Cooke was a scoring machine in Hampton Roads and has something to prove so he chose Tech:
Cooke was named first-team All-Group AAA in Virginia and was the Tidewater player of the year as a junior. He's led Nansemond River to a 47-6 record over the past two seasons.
"Marquie Cooke is the total package," Seth Greenberg said. "He's everything we're looking for in a point guard. He's big, he's strong, he's tough, he's a winning player and he has tremendous leadership skills."
He'll have his work cut out for him in the ACC. He'll be up against some of the best guards around and won't have a supporting cast to help him, but he'll be fun to watch...

And yes, I'll even admit they are. ......... Tough one up next for you though - the giant killer - Iowa.
The Terps first tough test is Friday against #23 Memphis.
