Please, let's let the "healing begin". We can't be divided because I heard GW has a mandate from the people to push forward his agenda.

Mandate....
He can't even get a mandate from his own party...
There are many Republican politicians who think the War in Iraq is a giant cluster-(____)
A bunch of republicans are jumping off the party wagon with regard to stem cell research as well.
And even more republicans are pissed about the rate in which GW is spending with no plan to blance the budget.
Bush is going to have a very interesting 2nd term if his own party is going to start smacking him about the head and neck.

having people disagree with you is by no means a lack of a mandate or support from within the party. in fact, according to webster's dictionary, a mandate is simply an authorization to act given to a representative. more than 50% of the people supported him, the electoral college followed, thus, he got his authorization to act. let's familiarize ourselves with the terms rather than imply that 100% backing is what constitutes a mandate.

Thanks for the clearer definition of mandate....Let's throw the word out the window
Now if you take away the word mandate all of the issues I pointed out are still there. Infact I left out a few like education, gas prices, heating oil prices, energy policy in general, Health Care...
Bush can act as if he has a (-------) but the fact that he was elected president does not mean his agenda was fully accepted. SOme of his strongest opposition seems to be coming from the right.
Maybe that is a better way of wording it.

i don't know what world your playing in, but right now we're playing in mine, and you decided to bring up a word when it was convenient and then "throw it out the window" when you were shown your lack of knowledge on the subject. that's not a rule that exists in my world, so the word stays. in response to your latest "point", those issues will always be there, and please point me in the direction of a president, or ANY leader for that matter, who had 100% backing on 100% of the issues. please come back and play when you can keep up with the big kids.

You sure you want to go there?
We have danced before and you were found lacking every ocassion....
No where in my post did I mention that any president had a 100% backing on anything. Find it if i said it???? Please...
You were so busy trying to make yourself look smarter that you skipped right pass the point I was making ( Bush's biggest opposition is in his own party right now).
Maybe you should go back to defending your crooked Congressman. As a rule I do not play in other people's worlds.
The fact that you have a little world of your own concerns me....
