Default Bad 'abits. Innit...

Inspired by the massive incredibly large pile of presents that turned up on my birthday last sunday from HR (Sunday 21th November, if you forgot - just send them anonymously and I won't mention it...), I have decided to give up smoking.

(I now use a lubricant - ta-dahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Now that's comedy...)

Anyhoo, my fine feathered friends - it is now 4 days and counting and I am beginning to feel like the athlete you all thought I was before meeting me at the tailgate.

However, there is a downside. I now need to take up a bad habit in order to replace the smoking so I have something to give up when I am 23 next year...

Any ideas...?

Congrats on giving up smoking!

This New Years marks my 4th year without a smoke. (And I feel much healthier for it!)

I recommend combining several vices instead of going hardcore on one.

Try taking up drinking while playing poker online and eating lots of greasy food. (Works for me!)

Gambling is a good vice to pick up.

I need to quit smoking, its very hard though. I quit drinking 6 months ago. so if I quit smoking i will have nothing to do.

edit: i heard a comedian say that it is as hard to quit smoking as it is to start flossing

ROFL

bad habits are hard to break. i think for new year's, i'll try to cut down on spitting(no jokes needed). its been like 2 months since i've last drank though. it was the night before the red river shootout.

i'd say i'd cut down on cigarettes, but i hardly ever smoke so i dont feel the need to cut down. i bought a pack of middleton cigars last tuesday(5 in a pack) and i still have 2 left, after i gave one to a stranger. good luck GD though.

Square Dancing.
Everytime that you get the urge to smoke, promenade to the left.
If you're at a party,grab your partner and doh-see-doh!!!

Good job on the Smoke out GD...I quit on Sept 9,1996 cold turkey.
Stay focused and don't let that little cancer stick rule you, 'cause the urge will always be there. Keep yourself occupied at all times, stay busy doing menial tasks if you have to and count every hour you don't have a cig as an accomplishment. After the first week you'll see and feel progress. I had to stay out of Bars for a few months 'cause I always associated drinking w/smoking...

Try to do things that take two hands if you must...I'll let you figure that out!
Good Luck!

Whatever you do....do not gamble

That will make you smoke again

Do not drink.....That will make you gamble again

Stay away from Women.....they will make you smoke, drink and gamble.

Just run or swim....

Get healthy or healthier
